I don't mind the move as it should solidify that there are two sides of the house but it's pretty ****ing shady since the only reason Vanessa seemed to want to win HoH was to make a deal with Jackie that 100% they wouldn't backdoor each other. If she does this and continues the whole "I'm a straight shooter" thing it will be funny.

If I was Austin I would be blowing Clay, Shelli and Vanessa's game up as soon as I was safe for the week. They've shown that they don't trust him and that he is expendable to them so it would be better for him to make them the house pariahs and focus on creating something new.

Which is absolutely insane considering the last four weeks have been Shelli, Vanessa, Shell, Vanessa.

Vanessa makes things so tough.

How is it so hard to understand the other side won't put each other and taking one of them out makes it easier to work around if you go up.

This reason crap needs to stop. BEING A THREAT TO YOUR ALLIANCE IS A REASON.

it's annoying from a viewer standpoint, but that doesn't necessarily make it bad gameplay. like its pretty important to keep your bases covered from all sides

and remember, dan did the veto roulette thing his first season. Derrick drew skittles during his HOH. "big" game moves are massively overrated, and its more of something you just root for as a viewer rather than being good gameplay. it's better to keep your cover and be able to justify w/e you do, to avoid making enemies

I think it is. Especially for Vanessa's game. But really it's good for all of her alliances. As Jackie has made it clear her targets are freaks and geeks(Austin, Liz, Julia, Vanessa, Steve). Where Becky hasn't really ever mentioned going after them. Her targets were always Audrey and Steve. And her targets going forward can be manipulated more by Johnny, Clay, and Shelli who kinda work together for the time being. So jackie is the bigger threat right now.

It's nice to see Vanessa back on track with her original alliances. It sickened me a little when it looked like she was gonna sell out all the people that always had her back(never looking to target her) for Jason, James, and Meg who never had her back. Not to mention Jason(he's funny and knows BB history though), Meg(she's a coward afraid she might say the wrong thing so never game talks except to name an easy target, Steve), and James are boring barely playing the game so far. Like they rarely talk game and just try to coast by "doing what the house wants". Then Meg and Jason always whine they can't win comps so shouldn't be on the block, it's not fair. James just wants to play practical jokes, he doesn't realize supposed to be talking game. It's best for Vanessa and all her alliances because they can't trust the other side of the house. And if Vanessa got down to final 2 she would be much more likely to get votes from freaks and geeks than people like Jackie, Becky, James, Jason, Meg, John. So you want all of freaks and geeks to make jury. And more importantly to always have their vote until they get knocked out.

I heard Steve talking to himself in the backyard playing with the hulahoop i think saying "Vanessa, i don't think i can keep voting with you after you lied right to my face." Then the fish came on in the middle of that sentence. Did i hear him wrong? It was kinda mumbled. If he did say that i'd speculate the lie to my face might have been about the twin coming in top 10 instead of 5 evictions. He'll probably realize in the weeks to come she's helping him and just told a white lie. But really it was dumb to lie to him in the first place.

They have more than half the house. All they have to do is win 1 of the HOHs and they can't go home. Everyone is trying to keep all bases open. No one can do that successfully but everyone is trying to be good on every side because Derrick did that last year and won. No one here is Derrick. Everyone that has gone home so far has gone home because they were trying to keep all of their bases open and people figured out they were on both sides.

eh

there's a difference between playing both sides and keeping your bases covered IMO. Audrey's problem was she was throwing people under the bus - that's not how you want to do it. You want everyone to think they can trust you; Derrick did that without throwing people under the bus

Like you can't just say to not worry about covering yourself. BB is all about the relationships you have with everyone; Vanessa should absolutely be concerned with this. It's easy to say that from an alliance perspective, they have the #s so it's fine to do w/e. But from her individual perspective, she still needs to figure out the best way of doing this without burning bridges

I agree with you but I'm saying in this situation it's too late and now she just has to trust her group and not get Austin out because of the numbers. She is always going to piss off a group so why not the group that isn't her alliance, is worse at comps, and is smaller. It's only 4 people. 2 of the 4 have to win HOH for it to even matter. Even if 2 of them do they would be more likely to target a duo than her even after all of this.

I think they both look out for each other but they both continually lie to each other over mundane things which Vanessa keeps doing to everyone which will ultimately be her demise in the game.

I don't think she's that dumb, I think she's just playing the game dumb. She's way overplaying and overthinking things. Too much FPS and constantly switching plans and alliances, though a lot of that I guess is Shelli and Clay's fault too. When she gets power, she needs to make strong moves to take out threats and further her alliance, not undermine it. And if she's so afraid of having "blood on her hands" then she should be trying harder not to win HOH competitions.

Also I wish she'd use Steve more as a resource than just a fringe member of the alliance. I would try to bring him in more on the planning because he's loads smarter than Clay and Shelli.

I think she was afraid to talk to Steve more about things because when she tried to bring him in 2 weeks ago Shelli and Clay said no. Now that he's in with them I think she will do exactly that.

Totally agree on both statements. That is why it's fun to root for Vanessa because she has the balls to make these big game moves taking chances most wouldn't. They are good game moves just dangerous/high variance. But probably will be able to pull it off because she does cover all the bases before hand over and over. Which does get a little annoying, but it's much better than being sloppy and making mistakes. Plus gives us feed watchers alot more game talk to watch all week. As opposed to making a decision at the start of the week then watching them bowl or play with a hulahoop the rest of the week.

Vanessa has a reason! She can prove Jackie had the phone booth and not Day, chose herself to not vote, and this is why she has to go!

Great, now Vanessa can throw a public tantrum over it like she did with Jeff, and everything will be justified in her world. Whatever it takes I guess.

Also, Vanessa told Liz that she knows for a fact that Becky lied about not voting for Jeff. It was her gut instinct, which is never wrong.
