To elaborate, for several of Steve's answers I knew exactly what Vanessa was thinking - that he was taking credit for more than he should, which could've very easily turned her off.

exactly and there is no argument that Steve played better than Liz. They were both completly pointless and could have been replaced by any random person off the street.

Well she said she wanted the person who best represented the season to win. Why lie?

Or she's just a big hypocrite which would be congruent with what we've been seeing of her over 3 months.

Agree, none of them this season had the complete social and strategy game of a Dan/Dr. Will/etc.

There was no doubt at all that Vanessa was going to vote for Liz to win. She is a feminist and mentioned countless times how she wanted a female to win and have a female final 2. Liz had 3 guaranteed votes when Vanessa went out.

Yeah, I didn't totally understand that. I guess she's just trying to rationalize her decision into something more than a gender issue

I wasn't a big Vanessa fan, but Steve kinda sucks. Made one good move which Cody wasn't able to do last year, but he had many chances to take control earlier. He ran well at the end, I don't blame Vanessa for her vote really.

I think Steve had a better winning game than Ian but Ian is a better player.

James winning AFP makes me happy as well considering he has a daughter and John is a dentist. Top 3 without making jury should mean that Jason will get an all-stars/second chances invite.

Give some credit to Steve for getting rid of Vanessa when it meant he was guaranteed to lose 3 votes to Liz. I feel like that takes some balls; I might have been tempted to take Vanessa and hope for a bitter jury, because 3 guaranteed votes is a lot

No that was a bitter vote for sure, and if it was because she wanted a woman over the best player then she can go f herself

I still give Steve credit for evicting Vanesssa. He could have been easily manipulated into thinking he couldn't beat Liz in the F2. His judgement was good in realizing he couldn't beat Vanessa and could still beat Liz despite her guaranteed votes.

Re: Big Brother 17 -- Premieres Wednesday June 24th on CBS @ 8pm

I think meg actually said it best: Vanessa didn't fool them. She really did win quite a lot of comps, but many of them wanted her out for weeks but simply didn't have the power to do so. That's the main difference between her and Derrick - other than that she didn't win obv. She easily could've gotten like 8th place if she didn't win a veto or the right HOH, etc

Basically she should get more credit as a comp beast and less credit with her social game

Re: Big Brother 17 -- Premieres Wednesday June 24th on CBS @ 8pm

Also losing lots of respect for Vanessa as I do any bitter juror

As someone who would've been relying on an objective jury rather than a bitter one, it's pretty sad she voted bitter herself (even when she said she would've voted out steve too).

Don't give me any of this crap about wanting a woman to win. If you're on the jury, you respect the game and vote for the best player. You don't just vote blindly based on gender. **** that

Otherwise I did think she handled it all pretty classy - although I guess a poker player gets used to being eliminated. Still w/e I'm glad I was rooting against her for most of the season and I'm glad she lost.

Good for steve for playing the game right until the end. Most people get to final 4-5 and feel like they can't go against their friends and stop playing. Crazy how it came down to the last question in part 3

Even Danielle voted for dan at the end after being voted out 3rd. Give me a break with saying Vanessa didn't have time to recover. Just a joke vote there. Liz couldn't even say anything about how she plays individually. Liz "representing" the season would be a complete joke.

Also A+ to the non-jurors. Davonne and Jason both had great comments that needed to be said

1) You feel that Vanessa wasn't at least semi likely to change her vote if evicted one vote earlier and had a chance to talk it over with Dr. Will?

2) I am pretty confident that what Vanessa means by the "representing the season" thing is that Liz was part of the actual dominant alliance this season, which Vanessa spearheaded. She was, in a sense, voting for herself, I'm pretty sure. From her perspective, she was fooling Steve most of the season, not giving him all the information and he wasn't actually a true part of her alliance, which is why I'm sure in her head it seemed a bit offputting for him to take credit for a lot of things related to that alliance. I could easily see myself feeling the same way, to be honest. The counterargument is, and Vanessa could've had time to think about this if evicted earlier, that Steve still positioned himself well, albeit it wasn't necessarily all by design.

I'm confused as to the relevance of this. Ian won that and took Dan? Why would she feel bitter towards Dan?

Ian took Dan. If Dan took Ian Danielle probably would've voted for Ian. Yes Meg said it best, Vanessa didn't fool them. That's why after literally each eviction/nomination Meg said I feel like I got fooled.

Steve also took credit for a lot of Vanessa's moves during his speech so that would definitely make Vanessa more bitter.

did you guys watch that f2? it was apparent that dan either was gonna take ian or throw it so he'd be in the final two with ian and danielle was aware of that. she was pissed at him and still voted for him
