See Austin won veto. Why was Vanessa asking the two girls if they decided who they want to stay? And luckily, for some reason, they said Julia. Which is obviously better for everyone else outside Austin, yet Vanessa almost tried talking Liz into wanting to stay. Does she actually want Liz to stay? Why? If no, why ask and act like you'll honor their wishes? Seems idiotic, but maybe I'm missing something.
Feels like a good break for Vanessa today with veto, but seems like she's talking too much all around.
jury votes are a thing, plus she needs the one who's staying to still be loyal to her
I think Johnny might target her. And if Austin or maybe Julia win and Austin decides to flip after their fight (don't know if he is really over it) she could go. Also depending on veto it might fall into their laps to send her out. All this being said I think she should most likely throw it.
I don't think veto will matter much. Vanessa would likely be the replacement nom on either side, but they'd still have the votes to vote out one of their initial targets.
Of course it's always possible either side could turn on her, but up to this point they've been completely oblivious to the fact that she's controlling everything and/or they're terrified of her.
If it's Vanessa Julia on the block she's going almost every time.
True, that might be the one combination where she's vulnerable. But given how important it is to win the F4 HOH or POV, I think her odds are better if she throws the F5 HOH.
She could go over anyone really if Austin flips she goes over John, if John and/or Steve flip she goes over Austin. I agree she should probably throw it though.
I think it would actually be a mistake if Vanessa does not throw the f5 HOH. It depends how well she knows the show though, because the f4 HOH is the most important one (you get zero blood on your hands since your nominations don't matter, plus you are still allowed to compete in the final 5 HOH). Plus the final 4 will be dangerous for her because one combo of Austin + Julia or steve + john will still be in, and whoever wins the veto chooses to evict one person over the other, so Vanessa would be at some risk if she doesn't win HOH or veto.
Add in that she's covered from all angles and would have to piss people off if she wins, and there's just no upside. She should absolutely throw it
Steve is a lot more comfortable than he should be though. He will be in a lot of trouble if Austin or Julia win HOH next week (and since Vanessa should throw, it's either them or john so he doesn't have the best odds). It seems like steve would go home ahead of john at this point since he's the biggest threat. And Vanessa has already gotten John's loyalty (at least in her mind), so she wouldn't need steve anymore if she had to choose between them. So he better be praying for a john HOh otherwise he'll be up and may need to win veto to survive.
Nah at this point she won't get booed. She'd have to really get nasty this week and they'd have to show it all on TV for that to happen. Some personal insults to Steve to his face and CBS showing it would do the trick.
It's incredible that Steve is getting worse at the game. He wouldn't tell Vanessa he was putting Julia up because he wanted to "scare her." Now he keeps whispering to himself he doesn't trust her. I think JMac made up a lie about who she told him to go after in veto because what he says doesn't make sense. Steve is too stupid to realize JMac makes no sense and always believes everything he says even though he has been telling everyone everything about Steve all game. Steve is also convinced that JMac is America's player. He also told JMac he can hear his DRs instead of not telling him and listening to them. I don't think Steve has made a correct decision or knew anything all season without Vanessa. He didn't even realize why it was dumb to put the twins up until Vanessa told him. Every time the final 6 talk about any alliance early in the game or who was close to who Steve is shocked. He has no clue what has went on all game.
One of the 3 most go. If one of the 2 on the block wins POV, then the 3rd one can be put up as a replacement. Julia is perceived as the weakest of the 3 in competitions. So placing the 2 strongest on the block leaves Julia as a replacement nominee, if needed. If the winner of the POV isn't on the block, I don't believe they can be a replacement nominee if they use the veto. Hence, Austin and Liz on the block.
so Austin and Liz are on block
I am a little confused about POV -
if Julia wins it and uses it to remove Liz, then Steve has to put another on block
can he put up Julia?
I am curious why it was so important to put Austin on block, rather then just the twins....
The person out of Austin, Liz, Julia left off the block could win POV then Steve will be forced to put up John or Vanessa. That's why weakest comp threat was left off b/c Austin/Liz/Julia would control the vote.
