True but by making a deal with James/Meg it gives her a chance to be safe next week as James promised to throw HOH. He could be lying to her of course but by evicting Megs she's 100% leaving if James wins HOH next week. Her only way out of it is to win veto, not a good way to play the game when you HAVE to win veto to save yourself. It gives her more options and getting out an Austwin isn't the worst thing in the world for her as mentioned. She would be able to spin it to Austin Liz that Steve and Jmac blindsided her LOL.

Just curious but has James said he'd put Vanessa up with Austin/twin b/c if not she has a shot to stay.

I haven't heard him say it yet but it's his only logical move. I have heard him told Megs that he can't put up Vanessa or Austwins next to Steve because they will blindside him and send Steve home. Obviously the same with Jmac so his options are super limited.

Also remember no one will use the veto on Vanessa. If Austwins use veto to pull Vanessa down, they have to worry that the other Austwin going up next to Liz. Ditto if Jmac/Steve wins veto. They won't use it because they'll have to worry that Steve/Jmac will go up.

Re: Big Brother 17 -- Premieres Wednesday June 24th on CBS @ 8pm

I really think Meg going over Julia is best for Vanessa's game at this point. Julia is someone Van might be able to beat in the end and I think Van is clearly the person Julia trusts most in the house after her own sister. Vanessa has really been pushing to JMac/Steve that the trio must be broken up next - Vanessa will be in a good spot if she can bloodlessly get through Thursdays DE (Which sets up to be potentially epic, with the whole house expecting it to be the following Thursday - seriously, Vanessa is going to be running around like a chicken w/ her head cut off the entire show, it's going to be amazing) w/ one of Austin/Liz leaving (Julia/Liz would gravitate to her but remain the bigger target in the house, Austin and Julia would both trust Vanessa more than each other).

With all of that said, while Julia staying is best for Vanessa's game, it is absolutely NOT best for JMac and Steve's games. It remains to be seen whether they realize/do something about this. A part of me earlier this week was wondering if maybe Vanessa was hoping they'd do something rogue and she could avoid the blood of breaking up Austwins and find herself in the middle of the house again, but she hasn't given me any impression to think that's the case.

James just told Meg he would put up Vanessa/Steve because Vanessa "slipped" and told him they are closer to Steve than he thinks and therefore Austwins will vote Vanessa out. Still clueless. That being said, I think JMac gets in James's ear and James nominates Austin and Liz.

Re: Big Brother 17 -- Premieres Wednesday June 24th on CBS @ 8pm

Also...urgh, I think James/Meg are good peeps but WHY - once Vanessa made it clear this AM she was putting someone on the block next to Meg that she would not like to be beside/that would guarantee her eviction - did they NOT throw Austwins UTB? They had soooo much on them, from them orchestrating plans for Vanessa's demise the past two weeks to creating a F5 outside of Brass Tacks w/ Vanessa (and Austin lying about a deal being made pre-final race between them in the last HOH to protect that alliance). They are just sooooooo bad at strategy, it's painful.

Also...greatest pic ever

Vanessa has real bad personality traits that maker her really hard to like. The constant victim mentality especially is gonna rub jurors the wrong way so much I really can't see how they would convince themselves to write her name down.

She also has no personal relationships with the people she was not working with (Becky, Meg, James, Jackie) and the people who she backstabbed or is about to backstab are all emotional idiots (maybe with the exception of Steve). It's not like she's playing this amazing game that is gonna get so much respect either. I mean if you get HOH and you evict Meg do you really deserve it?
I don't mean to play the role of always having to defend vanessa, i really don't. I am really trying to be completely fair with every player. I really just don't think she deserves to be hated so much by the other players, or most of you guys. I mean let's look at what's really been going on in this game....

Vanessa was chosen to be the enemy of the other side of the house because her with clelli were taking them out(they don't know so were austwins). Fair enough that they want her out for this but why can't they see it for what it is, game moves! She's your enemy you're trying to take out. So in return you're her enemy and she's gonna try and take you out. Game moves. Why get personal with her? Basically it's one girl against an army trying to get her out and she's been winning the war and she gets hate for this? She deserves mad respect for the ability to be able to do this. But instead she's hated. So let me get this straight? She's hated by the house because she doesn't let the house win in trying to evict her? And while trying to evict her make fun of her behind her back and make it very personal? She's basically hated because she has outsmarted a bunch of people on the other side(and her own side) trying to f her this whole game. And this makes everyone mad and not want to vote for her if she makes final 2? They hate being outsmarted. Mind you whenever she evicts people she tries to leave on good terms and not add insult to injury like becky and others were doing to her. Explaining she's just playing the game/game moves.

Has she played the victim? Yes. Is it annoying at times? Yes. Do i wish she didn't do it? Yes. Is she a victim? Yes. She has tried to be nice to everyone and loyal to her team and people have been insulting her, been disloyal to her, and blame her for everything that happens. If this was happening to another player the other player would act the same way. Only difference is you'd only see it for a few days until they got evicted. Where she through great ability(and some good luck) has survived the whole house conspiring against her. The other side of the house that smeared her name making her own people hate her as well and she turned it around full circle. And now taking the other side out who not only are the enemy but who have wronged her on a personal level. What do they expect her to try to do? Their all just butthurt that she beat them. They were all being mean girls trying to pick on vanessa once they thought she was f'd and all alone. But they didn't count on her having the ability to turn it around and switch it on them and take them out. It's a story of revenge of the nerds in real life. That the mean kids are getting their just desserts for their actions.

Vanessa literally just showed them if you want someone out you have to put up a twin and they still can't figure it out.

It's too bad that Jackie isn't in the house to help James/Meg with strategy, they're really bad. However I do think they will figure out that the best way to get Vanessa out is to put her up to Liz eventually. They always flip flop like this. Also if they tell Steve that he's going up next to Vanessa, he will have to panic and tell them that the Austwins will vote him out over Vanessa. Won't take much convincing either as James already thought in the past that putting Steve up to Vanessa would be a bad idea.

Jackie would still tell them to put Steve up because he's not in Dark Moon.

We're all on the outside looking in. If you're rooting for anyone but the Austwins, you gotta know the proper move is to evict Julia on Thurs. I understand the 5 other houseguests have their own agenda. But, now is the time for the big move. The house flipping move. And, it only takes 1 of the 5 to not hint at it, but, to voice it. And they've got 48 hours for it to be voiced, ruminated on, then acted on. Just sayin...

I don't even think people itt hate her as much as you think. They just don't like the way she talks down to people but people do respect her game. She's entertaining to watch so we all love to see her panic when things don't go her way. She's not even my top 2 hated house guest this season. I CAN'T stand Jmac and Steve. I'd much rather cheer for Vanessa who has game than these two who I don't think have any. Of course this is a poker forum so no one would care if people are hating on Jmac/Steve but will find it in them to defend Vanessa Rousso.

You seem to root for fan favorites so kinda surprised you don't like John.

I don't think John, James, or Meg are good and all favorites but at least when James gets power he makes big moves.

I would like John more if actually played the game. I can't root for him when he's never on the feeds because he never talks game. Austin said that Jmac hasn't talked game to him for 60 days straight LOL, there's only 90 days in the season.

Vanessa would've been someone I would've LOVED if she wasn't so off putting. Love that she plays the game 24/7.

That's only reason I like Vanessa b/c she's working harder than everyone. Sometimes even I need switch cams when she goes on some annoying rant.

Vanessa disliked but Austin/twins are worse. I'm guessing it doesn't help she's working with them.

John/Steve/James/Meg seem like nice people but that doesn't mean you should play BB.

If you were to ask Meg her plan I bet its to go finals with James. Does she even realize she can't beat him?

John for some reason hid he was a fan but does nothing all game?

Yeah, forgot about the twins. I really don't like them. Vanessa aligning with them doesn't help at all.

Re: Big Brother 17 -- Premieres Wednesday June 24th on CBS @ 8pm

I like James, but I can't recall a players romantic overtures being more consistently rebuffed in BB history. He's kind of a harmless horndog, so he hasnt been widely mocked, but from beginning to end, a girl couldn't have less interest. Even now she's telling him to keep his distance when he simply moves his chair closer. I hope he doesnt waste one second trying to avenge her, but I think he will.

I think he was telling the truth when he said he would have given her veto if he didn't have a daughter. Begging for a kiss on the cheek is pathetic. To her credit, she never led him on. It was always obvious she found him wholly unattractive. He saw Austin wear Liz down and got emboldened, but he's wasted the most competition wins on a total loser partner who has 0 interest in him.

If he somehow ended up in final 2, I'd hold that level of putziness against him

Re: Big Brother 17 -- Premieres Wednesday June 24th on CBS @ 8pm

This afternoon vanessa talking to jmac i got this feeling vanessa was saying too much to him. I mean it's good to trust each other but she knows unless jmac or steve(steve said considering throwing it) wins hoh there's a good chance he'll be on the block. Maybe even against vanessa as a pawn. So vanessa telling jmac maybe you should take out austin essentially jmac could use against her. She's always been so tight-lipped with steve but jmac she's blurting out everything. She just makes an alliance last week with jmac(didn't even name it an alliance just that we need each other) and considered sending him home last week. Now you feel like you can tell him anything? Why not wait to see if he wins hoh before you have this talk? And let him volunteer to you he wants to target austiwns and you can say "you gotta do what you gotta do." Not be the one directing him where he can use it against you.

I'm guessing she feels that she can simply deny saying it to JMac and that they'll buy her version given their total distrust of JMac in general, whereas Steve saying it carries more weight, particularly with the twins. She needs someone to do it, and she figures JMac is more walled off from Austwins than Steve.

Good point. But just seems like a little too much info to give right now. And jmac's not really known as a liar. If Austin believes it she'd have really screwed herself. The talk shouldn't have happened until after jmac or steve have won the hoh imo. Her talk with him shoulda been more just about reassuring each other we're not against each other and need each other. And saying we'll have the talk of who to target if and when we have the power again.

I haven't seen the conversation this afternoon but my take on it is that Vanessa's more tight lipped with Steve because whenever she brings up any game talk with him he completely shuts it down. She has reached out and open the door to him on multiple occassions. I'm guessing Jmac gives her more so she feels she can open up to him. Jmac has been better the last week. He's been evicted once already so I'm guessing he feels he doesn't have much to lose and can talk more freely.
