I've not read the rules of BB, Clovis, but I'm pretty sure it's against them to make deals to split the money or pay other players with money you have outside the house in order to get them to do what you want. There are no chops or bribes. You're supposed to navigate the game on your wits and charisma.

CBS may look the other way on relatives sharing the money, but Im not sure it's fair game for the alliances to just decide to share money.

I'm sure it is against the rules. It's also against the rules to chop in a wsop event and they won't help facilitate such a chop. That doesn't mean it's not both smart to do and in fact occurs in nearly every event.

Apparently she was sitting on her stool in the comp last night which wasn't explained to be against the rules.

Nuance is tough I know but those two things have nothing to do with each other. Only a moron would not chop in a tournament with a 500/50k split and only a moron would enter the women's event as a guy.

Is it a bribe when two players chop a tournament heads up? I see no difference?

Also scooping Crisco off the ground into her bowl in the slip-and-slide challenge. But hey, nobody told her she couldn't.

This isn't heads up. You can't make a deal with one other player when there are six others sitting at the table.

That's a fair point I hadn't thought of. You are right I can see this as being shady given the others aren't involved in the chop.

It's sort of like a swap though which often happens between two players and nobody else knows. Although there are ethical implications of that too. Interesting.

Comparing BB to a poker tournament in this way is just really flawed. In BB individual players are allowed to and encouraged to work as teams to help eachother get further in the game. In a poker tournament that is forbidden.

Isn't this all irrelevant since if it was against the rules BB would send them all to the diary room or tell them to stop?

No two games share everything in common but that's doesn't mean they don't share general strategies. The more I think about it the more a deal between two players is no different than a swap. What if on day one two players agreed to swap 20% of whatever they win on the show?

Let's say Dan and Will are cast on a season. They would be nuts not to chop!

The wsop says you can't do it too yet it happens in nearly every event. Of course they don't want it to happen.

I would actually bet there have been many deals or swaps on shows like BB and Survivor.

Yes, but in BB they are expressly forbidden from making cash deals. Vanessa is trying to get around that by offering cars and "gambling stakes".

This argument is dumb as hell. Its terrible for the jury to have a financial interest in who wins.

Yep, only delusional Vanessa fanboys would think it's ok for her to bribe her way to F2 and give financial incentive for the jury members to vote for her to win. It's so terrible on every level and I'm shocked BB hasn't stepped in and put a stop to it by now.

Or maybe they do it but are more secret about it whispering when the feeds are off? I mean Cody taking derrick to final 2 was giving 450k away. Not saying they had a deal to chop the money but seems like the only way someone would do that. Either that or Cody is a very wealthy person/wealthy family. If Cody did it out of pure loyalty to not f Derick out of money of final 2 he should of took victoria to final 2 and won. Then either gave Derick 50k or split the 500k with him.

I haven't followed deal making on the show to know how many people make deals but i bet Evil Dick and Danielle had a deal. As after the show she got pissed at him for not buying her more "gifts" for her in a more timely fashion. Like he bought her a car but then she said the gifts stopped or slowed down and she wasn't happy. Something like that. I bet there have been tons of people in these type shows who have made deals to chop the prize money. I bet Boogie and Dr will made a deal when Will won and Boogie worked the jury because he had a money incentive. We find out afterward Boogie and Dr will went into business together. I wonder if it was with the 500k? In fact any time a duo are in the jury they are trying to sway the jury for their partner in the final 2 chairs. I remember hearing another story that a person in the jury was bribing the jury members for their vote for their person in the finals.

I love the new spin on why we all should hate vanessa now.... Now she's a dirty angle shooter, LOL! Didn't Dan do something like give someone a gold chain from his grandmother as collateral? Earlier this year james, jmac, and jeff said if any of them won they would get the other 2 trucks. BB didn't buzz them. So i guess every person that makes a deal in tournaments or reality games are dirty angle shooters? I'm sure if this type of stuff isn't done and Vanessa was doing something wrong BB would have told her to stop it.

James says to Meg, I just remembered Vanessa made a deal with me to not put me and one person I choose up should I bring it up to her? Meg says I think we should wait to see if we go up first. It wouldn't have worked either way but what kind of logic is that?

There are not enough Ls or Os in the world for you claiming you were a professional poker player yet you don't understand basic variance.

For a poker player to go into this whole integrity and reasons spiel after every nomination is so frustrating. I pull for her to win, but then it makes me cringe.

No one in the house understands,"**** it, it isn't personal, just a numbers game" better than James.

If she somehow makes it to final 2 and launches into a speech about her word and integrity, I'm probably going to cheer for her to lose. It's such a huge self-awareness leak that detracts from her overall game. Never asking yourself how they so easily demonized you the first time and why you annoyed them to that degree is unforgivable.

So true. She is obviously the only player with a functioning brain but this is a huge leak in her game. For a poker player she should be able to control her emotions better and understand her game image. It single handedly takes her from great to only good.
