I had to go back and watch the video. She did say she is rooting for jmac and steve.....BUT, she literally says "I think Vanessa deserves it..."

I wouldn't put much stock in those jury edits. They seem to be fond of misleading viewers on this show to try and create artificial suspense.

I agree and it is a problem for her to take Austin. Meg/James I'd say are 80%+ to be both voting for Austin then he just needs one more vote, which honestly he may not get but all it takes is one bitter player or one more person thinking Austin played a better game and he has it.

i could see meg and james refusing to vote vanessa and pulling in jackie's vote. becky seems pretty rational, but she really disliked vanessa in the house, and becky was a recruit. so with the twins, austin is a real threat. he has 2 lock votes, and unless something changes, everything meg and james have said going out is that they actually believe austin is the mastermind this season, on top of vanessa being the only player they dislike. her weaker social game could cost her.

rob c and ian terry discussed that production could sway the votes towards the "mastermind", when they bring in Dr. Will at the end of the season to discuss the voting thought process with the jurors. so vanessa has that going for her.

Right, Dr. Will coming in to do the jury deliberation segment helps Vanessa out a lot.

Becky spent some time with Vanessa on her last couple days in the house. She also mentioned she wouldn't be bitter about anything that happened in the house and would vote for the best player.

Becky never actually hated Vanessa IMO, she just saw her as the greatest threat and saw through what she was doing. Which is why she'd be likely to vote for Vanessa in the end

Yeah Becky is gonna regret the veto episode when she kept bashing Vanessa in the dr cause she thought her backdoor plan was going to work just for shelli to leave unanimously a few nights later.

Not really, she just didn't want to play into Vanessa's emotional game.

Becky wanted to play everyone and noticed Vanessa was already so wanted to remove her.

just like her first HOH when she thought she had a great plan to get rid of Audrey when Shelli had no intention of doing so

Yeah that's right I nearly forgot how shelli ignored her Audrey plan.

I agree jmac may have taken her. And maybe Steve takes her if down to him, austin, and vanessa. That's why i don't understand putting up jmac and steve and making jmac the target? I know she's smart so i'm sure she has a decent reason. But we haven't seen feeds today to know why she did this. I suspect she made a deal with Austin and Liz that if she didn't put them up or evict them this week they will take her to final 3. And if steve wins next week he would naturally target liz and austin. So she'd be safe. While that is all well and good their are problems with it. First you don't know if Liz and Austin honor it. I think they would though as between vanessa or steve steve would be more dangerous in final 3 comps imo. Even though she's won a ton of comps steve is great at questions and athletic mind comps which is what they will prolly be. Vanessa good at questions but not athletic comps. Since it would be a close decision for Austin and Liz why not take vanessa returning the favor since she kept them safe this week. The problem is you get to the final 3 but against 2 people that neither will take you to final 2. Where with steve, jmac, julia(when she was there) all may have taken her to final 2. She had control of vote last week and decided to take out julia, now in power and taking out jmac. Julia and jmac would have been ideal for her as final 2's as they may have taken her and she'd prolly beat both. She keeps liz and austin that will never take her and if she takes them it's debatable whether she wins, especially against austin. I know the benefit of taking out julia and jmac is the weak players everyone would want to take to final 2 are gone so they might take her. But they prolly won't because she's the biggest threat still in a final 2 with her resume now. And austin and liz won't break. Well i could see a scenario of Vanessa talking to liz when down to final 3 that liz won't beat austin, but liz has a chance against her because of the bitter jury. Not likely but small chance liz would do it. But that's the point of why she should have taken out liz last week, or liz or austin this week. Because she woulda broke apart the unbreakable pair and had more options.

Just a guess but here is what I think Vanessa plan is

If Vanessa targeted Austin or Liz the fear is Steve/John would take the person left from Austin/Liz.

If she removes John then

Vanessa or Steve need POV so 50% shot at it or hope Austin or Liz take Vanessa. Its no lock they will take her but with Steve there instead of John you can sell it. Sitting with Austin/Liz in final 3 is not ideal but at least you have a shot by winning HOH. If Vanessa happens to win POV this week she better not chance it and just remove Steve to guarantee John leaves.

I feel like nobody has had a clue when it comes to what Vanessa's endgame strategy is. Everyone on RHAP last week, including Andy, thought Jmac was in the safest spot in the house. I don't think anyone expected Vanessa to target him over the Austwins/Steve

John won POV

I think the target should switch to Austin now. Liz might take Vanessa to final 3 still and you can sell Liz has 2 GTD votes.

to be fair, vanessa didn't expect to either. she originally wanted to put up austin/liz when she won hoh and then austin talked her out of it

She doesn't want to leave John in b/c everyone would take him. She thinks everyone can beat him which doesn't seem correct. Even if her reasoning is wrong she has to assume Austin/Liz will take John over herself which is what would happen. Steve/John can flip this if they were smart or Vanessa will realize what needs to happen. Should be an interesting week since Austin or Liz must go up and only Vanessa vote matters.

You're right, anything could happen. But I think she'll most likely take out Steve because she's already chosen sides by putting him and Johnny up. And because Austin is the closest thing she has in the house to someone she trusts, he'll convince her that it's the right move. That's after she's analyzed it from a million different angles to where her head is spinning out of control.

Yeah, should be very interesting since her target won the pov. Poor vanessa never has a smooth hoh where noms stay the same lol. She should put up and take out Austin like you said. But i don't know if she will for sure. She may decide same deal with Austwins just steve goes instead of john. Only problem, like you said, is Austin and liz may not honor taking vanessa to final 3 if jmac is their. Because if they take jmac one of them(Austin or liz) wins 500k. Where with vanessa they can easily lose to her, especially liz. She should change her mind and take out Austin because you can't trust any deal now that jmac still in.
