Also Austin just asked Liz to be his gf and she eventually said yes and they're talking about moving in together in LA. Blow up the Big Brother house.

So, Austin entertaining Vanessa's BS even when he's fed up with her is exactly the point I was trying to make to my mother in law. You keep your options open. Slamming doors in people's faces is not how you play this game well. When talking with Meg and James, I thought he was decent about appearing to consider what they were saying, while also providing reasons for him to not do what they wanted him to do without just blowing them off.

Vanessa used a nice mix of reason and emotional manipulation to get what she wanted. Conversely, Steve gets red faced and twitchy, digging his heels in, while being in no position to be digging his heels in. Vanessa's argument was that you clearly can't trust Steve's vote if Jmac is your actual target and Steve pretty much proves her point for her by delivering ultimatums.

They showed in the episode Vanessa saying it wasn't a safe place for her to be the pawn. Which was clearly true. I felt like she should have flat out said, "The person who is the house's desired target can't ever be the 'pawn'." I also felt like she needed to point out that right now SHE was the one that everyone else wanted to evict, but as soon as she's gone, all these alliances Austwins have made were going to be out the window. At least with her in the house, she is a possible viable target that someone might go for before the Austwins. I know Austin had that in his mind, but it might not have hurt for Vanessa to say it right out (if she didn't).

I thought tonight's episode was a good one with the anti-Vanessa corner trying to sway Austin by appealing to his sense of having been betrayed by her. They paint her as a manipulator and liar and a high value target to be responsible for evicting. All good efforts.

I thought Vanessa did a good job of appealing to her prior relationship with Austin, pointing out she harmed her own game by keeping him. Maybe could have pointed out that at the time, all the people who Austwins is now in fake alliances with wanted to see Austin voted out that week. Also, could have pointed out that she is the only viable meat shield for Austwins and letting her go would expose them to the rest of the house. She did point out that no one else is looking to work with her.

I thought Austin had a lot of good conversations with people, trying to keep his options as open as possible, but I felt he botched the bit where he told Vanessa he'd already been told she knew Steve was throwing the challenge...which actually probably helped him come to the correct decision for himself and twins, so it was a happy mistake. Also, his nomination speech was like a speeding projectile to Becky's face. But otherwise, I thought he at least tried to keep his options open and not make everyone excessively angry with him.

Steve was lol bad at pleading his case for staying off the block, but to be fair, it's just not in Austin's best interests to put Vanessa at risk when she's the only other person that might be targeted before Austwins.

Just because some of us don't agree with you and some others on this hate campaign of vanessa doesn't mean our posts are bad. Why can't we have a different perspective than you without being bashed for it? There are alot of people that agree with our perspective as well. In fact now the BB house has come around and realized all this stuff vaneesa has been blamed for wasn't deserved. It's not like we're trolling and the whole world knows vanessa is the worst person and player in bb history. Just in this thread the more frequent regular posters really hate her where it looks like we're trolling because we think she hasn't deserved to be blamed for everything that's happened in the house. I'm not looking to get into it with you or anyone and respect your opinions, all i ask is to respect mine as well.

Nice post Soncy. Btw Vanessa did point out to Austin about how james and meg were fully on board/culpable for the austin backdoor. Might not have showed on tv episode but she did make that point this week which made him think some/surprised.

Who is the right person for Austin to take out? I assume NOT Jmac. Is that correct? Jmac is fixated on taking out Vanessa, so keeping him in seems +EV.

Steve? He's damaged his position with Steve this week and Steve might be good at the mental comps. Steve has a prior relationship with Vanessa and might be able to put current grievances aside and realign with her.

James? They were concerned this week that James might actually target them before Vanessa if he won HOH. Take out the strongest physical competitor. Use this to mend fences with Jmac and Steve.

The goal is to take out the biggest threat you can get, while trying to maximize keeping in the people who want Vanessa's head on a platter. So who do you take off the board to accomplish this?

Alot of things have changed this week on the feeds, especially the last couple of days. Jmac is the most likely person to be evicted because it's the least blood for Austin. Jmac is good with vanessa now and willing to work with her and steve if austin backdoors james, James is a possible backdoor. Steve has had a bad week because he fought to hard to not go on the block with jmac so austwins think he may not have their best interests and being sneaky with jmac. Talk of backdooring steve has come up. And vanessa is like family to the austwins again/most trusted ally. Vanessa is not the target of the whole house anymore as she has had a very good week. Things change fast in the BB house.

Jmac is so bad at campaigning, his best argument to Austin is that when he takes one of them out he'll let them choose which one goes lol

Now Austin wants to make a deal with JMac that if they make it to final 4, he just throws the comps and goes home so the final 3 will be Austwins lol

Vanessa has by no means persuaded the house not to come after her. They are just telling her what she wants to hear because she has the veto.

I said not the target of the WHOLE house. The austwins do trust her now and don't want her out anytime soon. Jmac and steve i believe are being genuine with her that they will work with her because they don't have much of a choice now as they have 0 relationship with james and meg and they had good talks with her today. Imo they would only target her if austwins told them that's what they want, but you never know with those two. James and meg are the only ones that might be telling her what she wants to hear. But even they i think have a little less anger towards her after their talks. They may still target her but i could see them changing to steve, especially now that they think vanessa may be telling the truth that steve acted alone on putting up meg and jackie.

Jmac, Steve, Meg and James were all blowing smoke up her ass because she was aggressively interrogating them while holding the veto power over their heads. I wouldn't take anything any of them said at face value. She might have gained some ground with the Austwins this week but they still don't trust her completely, and they only care about themselves and what's good for their game anyway.

John and Steve legit trusted Austin and the twins even if they fully don't trust Vanessa they kinda need to work with her.

If James, Meg, Jackie win HOH I predict the target is Vanessa.

Becky could be Vanessa or Austin, Liz.

Vanessa would target returnee unless its Shelli then maybe James.

I have no clue what Steve would do but guessing play it safe.

John target could be Vanessa still but I think it be Austin.

TimTimSalabim is correct and knows what he's talking about. You can't take what anyone says today to Vanessa at face value when she's strong arming them all.

Was there a convo between jmac and steve that confirms they were blowing smoke up her ass? Or are you just speculating? I believe all her talks(especially with jmac as he finally stopped lying to her and came clean saying he wants to work with her.) helped her some today. But the real point i was making is she is in much better standing than last week where she was a possible backdoor target of the austwins+steve+meg and james. To now where she is probably there most trusted ally of austwins again. Which means she in not 100 percent being targeted by the whole house anymore. And meg/james/jmac/ and steve will think twice about targeting her as they see she has rebuilt her relationship with austwins. And steve and jmac need her. Steve and jmac have less standing in the house than she does now.

When the POV holder is considering using it on you probably good sign you shouldn't target that person.

Open letter to all you Vanessa Fanboi's out there.

The point that most of U are missing is that there is a SOCIAL aspect to this game. The very fact that u r stuck in a confined space for ~ 90 days @ the endgame means that actual social connections play a role!

In a hypothetical show down b/t Vanessa and James, James CRUSHES Vanessa b/c he has managed 2 Keep his nice guy image while still being perceived as a strong comp player and loyal 2 his alliance 2 a fault.

Vanessa is HATED by the other HG's b/c of infinite claims about what a straight shooter she is, and her emotional outbursts the SECOND she feels threatened. .

I started out rooting for her over all others (poker community represent!) A mere ~10 weeks later,I sit here in the greatest hope that she finds a way to crash & burn, solely b/c of her complete lack of self awareness and sense of self-righteousness. Those 2 factors alone would make ANY sane logical player feel the same!. Yes every successful BB player must lie, but it is the most obvious downfall of almost every BB player who thought they were "2 smart 4 the room." ....Pride

She talks down to EVERY PERSON IN THE GAME. At this point the only people she can easily get away with that are the twins and Meg. Even that will only work if their respective guardians aren't there to put them back on the right track.

1 of 2 things will be her downfall. Either her rungood of Austwins in power will run out, and James, Meg, SteveJmac survivor, and returning HG boot her out. Or she does get her wish of final 5 of Austwins her and Steve/Jmac and they all realize she is expendable.

If only they would cast more great players like Meg hey.

I can't even count the number of diary room and post eviction statements about how good Vanessa plays. "She's good" is probably the most common thing they say about her yet itt the whole house thinks she is the worst player of all time.

Either the edit is a total fabrication and the players are being asked to say things that are not true or the people on this thread are clueless.

Would she be better if her social game improved? Of course, it's her major weakness. Even with her social game is she the best player this season by a mile and among the best in the shows history, of course.
