If V gets to the end, her gameplay will beat the butthurt everyone feels and she would win. The hard part is going to be getting there.

Gameplay typically overcomes butthurt unless the jury is entirely comprised of children.

I think Vanessa beats Austin, Liz, Julia. Sure they will get 2 votes but other than that I'm not sure how much more they get.

I'm not so sure Julia votes Austin in the end. Especially if she spends any time with V in the house after he goes home.

If that was the case wouldn't Russel Hantz won both of his seasons?

I think there can be a tipping point if you are too much of a villain, but I think it requires extreme cases. Russel was the extreme imo.

Gameplay is important but it's not the end all of what makes a great BB player. To me it's the social game that trumps everything. You have to make people want to vote for you in the end and feel good about it. Dan in s14 wasn't even that big of a villain and he played by far the best strategic game, but the cast just didn't feel right about giving Dan their vote and awarding him the money. Ian was a much easier choice. A lot of people knew he played the best game but they felt used and manipulated by him, found it overall distasteful the way he treated some of the people in the house.

I don't know why there's so much hate for Austin's game this season. To me, he's playing the perfect game this year. His social relationships with the house is top notch and I can see him taking it all if he makes it to the end. He's also playing a great strategic game as well being the center of virtually every big decision made. Vanessa's game has a giant gaping hole, her social connections with people in the house. There's a reason Jackie, Becky and John hate her with as much venom as they do. These are the type of people who don't like to be talked down to and made to feel like they're being used.

So when I hear a fanboy itt say that Vanessa is a top 5 player in BB history, I can only laugh because it's complete and utter lunacy. Delusion at its finest.

I've seen her plant seeds a little bit with John and Steve. The problem with John and Steve, especially John is that he gives her nothing. He does not want to work with her at all. We saw this on the show a little bit and in Vanessa's DR saying WTF is wrong with JMac, she's trying to work with him and is flabbergasted that he doesn't want to. They're both partly to blame for this as this has been John's game this whole season, where he won't drop names and talk strategically.

Steve does the same thing. When the majority of the people of the house want to talk strategy with him, he won't drop names. Conversations with him usually go like this "So Steve who do you think you would put up next week if you win HOH?" Steve: "I'd say if you had to guess you would probably be right". This is all fine and good and keeps him out of trouble, only problem with that is that people don't really know where his head is at and won't feed you any info because they don't fully trust that he's with them. This isn't Vanessa's fault here because working with Steve and Jmac is extremely frustrating.
James/Meg will never trust Vanessa after what she did to them so she knows she can't work with them. So Vanessa is in a really tough spot and right now she doesn't have much of a choice but to stick with the Austwins.

Poor Johnny trying to eat his morning cereal and Vanessa immediately goes over to him and starts interrogating him. She is a piece of work.

I don't understand why she's interrogating johnny. She's solid with austwins now and you can only hurt yourself talking with john. As if you say anything john can use against you with austwins he will. She asks him if the austwins wanted to backdoor her this week. Johnny wouldn't answer, but questions like this can get her in trouble. Who cares, it's over, and austwins told you you're in again. Let it go! If john goes back to austwins and says "vanessa asking if you guys planned on backdooring her" it would make the austwins not trust her again as why is she asking questions like that unless she doesn't trust us. Stop overplaying vanessa!

this will be a true test of her persuasion skills and Austins malleability since it's clearly against what the Austwins want. I think she can prob convince them in the next 24 hours though

Im seeing Vanessa right now making john promise that if she saves him and he wins HOH next week, that he'd put up james/Meg and the returning player. when really she should want john to take out one of the twins

So does Vanessa become a favorite if she saves John or no b/c James leaves?

She can't tell John to go after the Austwins if she saves him. If John goes and tells the Austwins that Vanessa told him that, she'll be screwed. They're doing this little dance like they've done all season which is why they don't have anyone they can fully trust 100% like Meg/James have with each other. Vanessa committing herself to the Austwins have put herself in this position.

It's definitely good for Vanessa to save john/steve and have them to work with while getting rid of james. Austin is much closer to james and Meg than she is, so it would be a huge win for her if she could get james out this week

The problem is Austin is tight with james and the twins hate john. And the twins genuinely like Meg. So it won't be the easiest sell, but its still doable imo

I can't see Austin going against James/Meg at this point. He likes to take the path of least resistance.

Vanessa and steve(steve working with him already, just mean steve joining john and vanessa together) always wanted to work with john but john's hatred of vanessa prevented it from happening. Only reason it may happen now is because he has no other choice but to work with her. And he realizes the austwins are trusting vanessa again so she's not an easy target anymore.

I think the better play for vanessa is to do what she said and go after meg/james. Why would vanessa want to break up the austwins and lose their trust when she now has their trust again while nobody else trusts her. Her best option is to roll with them and take people out because she can trust anyone to really work with her. While doing so the austwins can get broke up by the other side later on. Or she can consider turning when down to 5 or 6 players. Obviously she would have to clear it with austwins to save john and go after meg and james.

p.s. even though she's getting in good with john it's a dangerous play all this talk behind the austwins back. If him or steve rat her out to austwins she's f'd.

austin likes to do whatever people tell him to do, and vanessa is the most forceful about so she controls him all the time
