It actually makes sense if you think about it. No one has talked to him all season because he's so creepy. It would be very suspicious if people start to pull him into a room for discussions. No one wants to be seen as a schemer right now to make themselves a bigger target after tonight.

the only people he's ever had a connection with in this game are vanessa, austin and jmac. he's had crushes on both of the twins. so that leaves the goblins and becky. james or becky are about to get backdoored.

While Steve and Vanessa dislike becky i think it would be a wasted eviction. They could work with her through pulling from jmac, but even if they don't work with her it would still be a waste. They have to roll the dice and make a big move to break the house up.
