was there an actual point to lalo filming vlogs in the sewer or was that just like the hammiest exposition oat?
(+him talking to himself to explain what's going on lol)

and did the croatian construction guy actually know anything about the lab and all that? didn't think those guys knew where they were / what they were building / who gus is / etc

it still works if he simply confirmed to lalo that they building some underground project that was different from the bullshit that gus showed him, and he just put 2+2 that it was under the laundry, but i was just curious bc they made it seem like that dude told him everything and i don't remember how all that **** played out before

I thought the idea with the vlogs was that he was going to mail it to Eladio before he made a move in case he got murked. Can’t do it too far in advance though, cause then they know he’s alive.

The German guys knew it was a laundry cause they got dropped off at the top and walked into the pit. So if he was able to tell even that, Lalo could prob figure it out from there, only so many laundries in Albuquerque.

The meth part - you could probably figure that out from the description + the fact that Fring was pushing meth back in the day when Hector killed his buddy.

i was thinking that it's so after mike or gus kills lalo, they then have 3 more episodes trying to find the tape before the twins find it or something thus needlessly dragging on the storyline

yeah i thought the construction people knew very little, possibly didn't even know where they were

I thought that scene with Cliff and Howard showed that Cliff kind of believed Howard but knew it was too far gone after the meeting. So he knows, but doesn’t care about exposing Jimmy and Kim at all and just wants to get it over with.

For the kill shot, I figure Lalo thinks there’s a pretty decent chance he’s going to end up killing Jimmy and/or Kim if he doesn’t like what they have to say, so he can’t leave Howard as a witness. That + scare the **** out of them so they do what he says + he’s just a psycho.

Ahh ya that makes sense.

The only thing that runs me wrong about this show was how they handled the German (and I guess Croat) workers.

First of all, they obv know too much.

And they esp are a liability after Werner is killed and they know it.

Imo, this show has the potential to pass Breaking Bad in greatness if they do the last 6 episodes right.

I have thought BCS is better for years, but that could be recency bias. Also, I think BCS benefits from the fact that we came into it invested in several characters, so it is fascinating to learn their origin stories.

Ok who's in for the next spinoff, about the community college film crew?

I was kinda hoping for 95 yr old michael dressed up as a 30 yr old to explore his backstory in Philly

I think BCS is better largely because of the Kim Wexler character. The female characters in BB were not great, or particularly memorable.

They are both great though and it's very very close which is better.

there is no way Kim ends up with Jimmy now. they are both responsible for Howard's death, and Kim will forgive herself or Jimmy.

Btw, Patrick Fabian should win an Emmy for the last episode. He was superb.

Yeah Fabian and Michael Mando both killed it in supporting roles.

I was thinking if they really wanted to ramp it up they’d have Lalo pop them too after some vid scheme gone wrong

If Kim hadn't turned around, Howard would still be alive

I assume you mean she will never forgive herself or Jimmy, which I agree with. It was mostly fun and games until now, but that just took things past the point of no return.

yeah, will NOT ever forgive either herself or Jimmy

Pure speculation but after killing off Nacho and Howard, I don't think they will kill off Kim as well.

I feel like they made a point of showing the vet's little black book and the vacuum repair business card, so maybe she disappears. I wonder if they would ever have her and Jimmy meet again in the present in Omaha.

Would be kinda funny if in a final scene we see an old, barely recognizable Kim Wexler scrubbing pans at a Pizza Hut in North Dakota or something.

The prequel I'm really interested in is young Gus in Chile with the future Madrigal CEO. At this point, all we know is that it involved something big enough to stop Eladio and crew from killing him along with Max.

I thought Gus was somehow a big wig associated with the Pinochet gov

This would be pretty good. Like they lose everything, find each other, and it ends with them planning some new scam. No lessons learned, etc.

its a fantheory due to eladio telling gus in the flashback of max getting killed something along the lines of "the reason you are alive is because the power you yield(ed) in chile".
gus also convinces the madrigal guy to cover for the meth-production machines by reminding him of the "man he was back in chile" iirc.
That is enough groundwork layed to greenlight a narcos-chile/pinochet show if amc is out of ideas i spose

€: which seems the most likely "spinoff" to me. The team around gilligan seems to be done; allows them to appeal to the fanbase without having to retain anyone from the current crew.
