IDK, maybe that place went out of business, and it wasn't such a big deal.

So Kim had never encountered Mike but figured out he must be that guy?

well ya any time you see a curmudgeonly 80 yr old then it makes sense that he would kill a bunch of cartel members and then walk 50 miles out of the desert.

Im watching old Saul clips. lets just say he was a somewhat "problematic" character. so Im wondering when he changed from a largely asexual guy to a hound dog.

What does "problematic" mean?
What's the difference between asexual and largely asexual?

I can see this season overlapping and Walt/Jesse being just a small part of Jimmy/Kim's storyline while she gives him advice during home discussions ("tell the kid buy a nail salon to wash his money" or "just have Heull lift the cigarettes").

Kim was always there but just wasn't on BB.
not really personally, but it's possible

thought i saw a video about this on youtube this week though, you might wanna check that out

it's a minor stretch, but it makes sense that jimmy would have told her a little bit about mike
(like that he's old or whatever)

man i remember feeling like bb was slowly paced at times toward the end, yeesh

wtf was that thing lalo found at werner's, a level or something? that's gonna lead him where now? to other members of that crew who actually know about the job? to madrigal corp?

again, seems kinda pointless given we know nothing happens to any of these ppl, woulda thought they'd find something more interesting to do with the remaining time here...
(even though i'm trying to play along by suspending my disbelief a bit)

72,

That's a slide rule. Pocket calculator before microchips. An award for great engineering, I guess. Not sure how it's important to the story, except to show Werner was exceptional.

I agree with your statement about disbelief. Seems like it's going a little off the rails.

Hmmm, we could steal Howard's actual car to set up a few-second kick-hooker-out-of-the-car scene. Or, we could rent a blue Jag, make up a fake plate with construction paper and markers which would be good enough for those same few seconds, and is much simpler.

Didn't buy the boxing thing either. Seemed like something he's never going to do, not knowing if Howard had been training. At least, I'd assume he had been.

I'll assume Lalo meeting Margarthe was due to a long recon (not shown), and he didn't just show up in some German town and happen upon exactly the person he was after.

I was surprised to see Michael Mando in the opening credits. Is that common, for the bigger stars to get a credit even though their character is done?

Lalo saw where the gift was made (on the bottom). I assume he will track down at least one member of the crew to find out more about the construction project. I doubt those guys knew what the space was for, but given the secrecy, they could infer it was something illicit.

A few questions about this season:

Episode 1 - Did Lalo kill the farmer (and his wife), transport the body back to his house, and burn it, all before any authorities showed up? It seemed like the compound turned into an active crime scene pretty quickly.

Episodes 4/5 - Who are these people hiding Gus, Mike, and the others? They seem like normal civilians who live in the neighborhood, in which case, I imagine they might have some questions. With a secret passage to their neighbor’s house, it seems like they must be in the game to some degree.

Episode 5 - What is Gus doing in the meth lab? Did he leave his gun on a piece of equipment down there?

Interested to see how Jimmy and Kim screw over Howard now that he is on to them.

That was a memorial sent by Werner's crew, implying just how loved he was by those that worked for him.

The widow mentioned that nobody cared enough to come to his funeral - so Lalo is just connecting the dots that they must've stayed in New Mexico to keep working on whatever secret project Gus/Mike has them on.

think they just leave them in the credits for the remainder of the season sometimes out of respect yeah (or bc they were paid for the entire season), and sometimes it means they might be returning in a flashback/dream/whatever

i mean lalo already knows it's unnecessarily secretive right, like wasn't the cover story that they were building sometimes for chickens or whatever? makes no sense for it to be top secret

was gonna say that lalo will get it out of someone where that project is ... but then i remembered that none of them probably know that either. or what it was for, as they almost certainly weren't told that

did they? thought they were all sent home and replaced after werner died

or the project was suspended (until the heat dies down), bc it sure doesn't look finished rn

I cant imagine its a spoiler, but just in case. Its just what I thought

Spoiler:
it seems that Lalo will eventually get to the house (from what Mike implied), so Gus plans on retreating down to the underground area, breaking that electrical cord to the lights when Lalo is there, and then counting out the paces in the dark to the digger that he already walked (you saw him intentionally make 7 paces or whatever to the digger), to grab the gun.

a few tl;dr morning after random thoughts:

- Howard figuring out Jimmy is messing with him is part of the Jimmy/Kim plan. Maybe to make Howard look like he's gone full paranoid and out of his mind? Kim wasn't phased at all when Jimmy told her about the boxing match or that Howard had figured things out.

- Lalo roughly knows where the meth lab is, just not that it's actually a meth lab, how to get in or the layout. He's trying to track down someone associated with the construction so he can get that info. So that's what the clue inscribed on the slide rule gift will lead to (What clue he saw exactly, I'm not sure).

- Gus is laying a trap for Lalo at the meth lab and is going to draw him into a confrontation there. Guessing he may even "open the front door" to let him in. I think Gus was playing with the light cord so he can turn it on / off with his foot (?) and y'all saw him hide the gun. He can't take the waiting or sitting around anymore so he's trying a different tactic to draw Lalo out.

it's called writing characters at the beginning of a TV show without knowing their going to last this long and be on another show.
