Damn what an anticlimactic way for Nacho to go. Guess they kinda wrote themselves into a corner though. Great performance by his actor for the last season+ too.

Dunno why he thinks the Salamancas would leave his dad alone after he **** all over them. He trusts Mike to guard him 24-7?? I suppose that’s the best he can hope for.

I’m enjoying it but damn it seems like they’re milking the **** out of these last eps.

I loved that episode.

AMC just green lit a new series for Bob but I haven't read the details yet.

Back to HBO for Gentleman Jack and We Own This City now for me.

I was very surprised at when it went down. Beginning of the ep I was prepping a speech on how we all knew Nacho would live until the end of the season.

Agree, I was pretty shocked he actually died at the exact time it was telegraphed he would. Especially since it’s like a signature BB and BCS move to come up with some skin of the teeth last second escape. When they put Mike out with the sniper rifle, I figured Nachito would live on somehow.

I thought he would die this season, but thought he’d affect the Saul plotline more first. The way they did it makes sense, but also feels like his whole arc was basically meaningless to Jimmy other than introducing him to Lalo.

I know it's retconning, but this whole thing with Nacho really explains why Mike has such disdain for Walt in BB. Nacho dies so that Gus & co would be absolved of any blame and by the looks of it, there seems to be peace and they seem to have a pretty good thing going on when they are introduced in BB. However, then a power-tripping high school teacher enters the scene, messes the whole thing up, and every single person in the last scene of this episode will be dead within like a year either directly or indirectly due to Walt's actions.

RIP

I thought Lalo was gonna show up in the last scene to confront Gus and that would create a chance for Nacho to escape. But nope.
Nacho telling Hector that he switched the pills was so good though, almost felt like "I watched Jane die".

The opening was confusing to me...then it all came together with the Nacho scene. Oh!

I figured Nacho was a goner simply because he would have had to kill at least one person to escape, and we already knew everyone else in that scene had to live.

yeah i'm not really a fan of nacho's whole arc being more about informing stuff that happened on bb etc than standing on its own merits
it's pretty lame on level 1
plus they covered some of the same ground with the werner storyline

the whole thing was massively anticlimactic
like what's the takeaway, that mike's sad about it? ok
we know he's gotten over it by bb, so who care

Mikes a low life pos who defends Gus who is a complete monster that murders kids. and Gus was trying to kill Walt.

Walt obv is a pos too. but Mike is just as bad.

was referring to nacho's storyline ... which is now over

but yeah what's lalo gonna do here? maybe grill jimmy again about who helped him, and they figure out who mike is?
or he goes after nacho's dad [for reasons] and mike kills him?

don't think it'd make sense if they find out about the lab
or maybe lalo does and mike kills him

or maybe jimmy/kim help set up lalo's death (lure him into a meeting or whatever)
idk

Well Kim was drug back into the cartel scene by that DA, which likely will mess her up. While I don't think Lalo blames Kim specifically, he might blame everyone he saw that week.

Sorry I mistook you saying all we got from Nacho is Mike being sad for a bit. As you said I think there's a lot of ramifications, I have a feeling they'll come for his dad and it'll be a Mike vs Gus battle on morality where Mike goes off script. Knowing they're still working together in Breaking Bad dampens it a bit.

Lalo surely has to come back into Jimmy's life based on the last ep.

'Do you want to be a friend of the cartel or a rat?' is very yikes from Kim. Also she visited Lalo in prison last season, DA could look into it now they know he wasn't just some random guy

in reality he'd prob stay out of the country due to that murder he did, but yeah the plot basically requires his return to albuquerque

I knew it couldn't happen for the sake of BB but realistically, Nacho probably would have tried to take out Hector or the twins and go out in a hail of bullets instead of killing himself. His speech was great though.
