But part of the problem with the standoff scene with the drugs is you know that the two characters on Gus' side aren't dying because they appear in BB. So that is the only problem with having a ton of characters from BB, you know who is immune from random death.

Well Kim's departure wouldn't be a loss if the show didn't start out with them in

1. This is not something that is routinely (or even non-routinely checked for)
2. I'm not sure if they stated it explicitly, but the way the role is acted, Hector is most likely taking sublingual nitroglycerin (as an aside, those pills would be hard to fake in the way Nacho did, but let's forget about that). The half-life of that drug is just a few minutes. So even if he was taking it, it would be essentially undetectable by the the time he get to the hospital. And as stated in #1, no one would ever check for that anyway.

I think he replaced it with ibuprofen.

That's what it says here: http://breakingbad.wikia.com/wiki/Hector_Salamanca

I have always felt the same way.

Interestingly, I saw an interview with Gilligan and Gould and they said one of the main reasons they cast Seehorn is because she had Odenkirk had amazing chemistry.

I like their chemistry. It's not the typical rom-com chemistry, if that's what you were looking for.

I think we can safely assume that no one here is looking for that.

Is there any reason to kill a dude that way (asphyxiation) other than to horrify Nacho?

At least to me, they don't have the chemistry that goes along with being in a sexual relationship. In addition, I still don't understand what she sees in him.

I was assured last season that sometimes people IRL have relationships that don't make outward sense, so we should be totes cool with seeing something similar on television without ever getting an explanation.

Gus's spidey sense at the crime scene made him suspicious
The throwing pills in river confirmed the right for SUSPICION,
It was the report that confirmed the DEED.
This is correct. The report will show that there was none of Hectors medicine in his blood at the time of the stroke.

Kim/Howard scene was A++++ this week. Holy ****. All the propers to Seehorn for that display of INTENSE anger.

Nah, we saw him take medicine from ibuprofen caps and put them into Hectors caps. Shouldn't be anything that would accelerate Hectors problem.

They are lying to each other now unfortunately. It's going to be the ultimate breakdown of their relationship. As far as we've seen, I don't think Kim has lied once to Jimmy before last week.

This. They are a very normal couple who love each other and are there for each other but don't have to fall over each other every second They are together in order to tell a story. They are both involved in their careers, and have things to focus on outside their relationship. On the flip side, they aren't the standard couple that's been together forever and hate each other's guts like you see in most sitcoms with married people.

It's refreshing to see a much more natural couple than we get in most other television.

They seem more like a brother sister con team who pretend they are a couple.

In the not so distant future Saul is gonna be flirting with Francesca and getting shot down.

The problem isn't that they've become a boring, long-term couple, it's how they got there. We've seen the entire relationship from the beginning and it went from brief office fling to what it is now without any explanation. What is Kim's reason for being in this relationship with Jimmy? It does her character disservice and strains credibility to not give her one. She is a very strong, driven, independent person who's chosen to be in a years-long relationship with a somebody like Jimmy because ________? I want that blank filled in. He is far beneath her. She knows it. Why is she still with him?

I agree with all of this. Given how she seemed to enjoy being Jimmy's partner when they ran scams in restaurants on greedy business guys, I wonder if she sees him as an exciting "bad boy" who also is especially wounded because of Chuck.

This is like catnip to some women.

We didn't ever see it. In episode one, they are already together. They got together at some point between the mail room and episode one. Who knows exactly how long that's been.
