Sick episode. Awesome Kim telling off howard.

So gus found out from the letter which was his medical records?

And ya seems that Jimmy is gonna scam the copier guys. Why else call mike? Tho it's proly not a good idea to insult someone's due diligence and intimate that you could be a serial killer just before ripping them off.

Ok rewatched that scene and the one where he gets on the computer and calls mike. It's seems pretty obv what the plan is. (Ofc the show loves to signal then pivot).

As for dissing the interviewers, I am not sure it was calculated. I think Jimmy was legit disgusted by their carelessness and also his lack of self esteem wrt being a low life due to everyone and his brother telling him so further sealed it. Like greear once said, he has no respect for any women who slept with him.

When Jimmy came back for one last hard sell/hail mary...it was like his Saul Goodman commercial.

And they went for it so easily. Is Jimmy realizing where his talents really are?

I heard Odenkirk on an interview with Teri Grosse back during BCS. He said what he loves is how Saul changes his personality on a dime to get the advantage over the person he is talking to. So I doubt whether he pre-meditates the mood swing with the IT guys/malpractice lady as much as finding a gap to advance his motive.

The leads get all the credit, and they deserve all of it--but I just LOVE watching Patrick Fabian (Howard) and Michael Mando (Nacho) act.

More than once since Chuck's death, Howard has hesitated before speaking, trying to collect his emotions and keep his voice from cracking. I just lost a close relative a few weeks ago, and I've been doing a lot of that lately, so I can really appreciate that choice as an actor. Also, the jerky way he moved his arm to hand Kim the check or letter or whatever, love when actors do stuff like that.

But the leads, and the writers, really got a chance to strut their stuff this week. A terrific episode.

Finally caught up on this. Maybe its the glut of other quality entertainment now, but the first few episodes have been lackluster at best. There are moments like the copier job scenes that are supposed to get over and aren't doing it for me anymore. That setup where he goes back in to distance himself from the job because he's planning to steal the figurines was just ok. The way he looked at the display case was already enough of a giveaway. Just feels forced.

Watched Lodge 49 as well. Definitely worth a look...

BTW, last weekend, I heard a Howard Stern re-run from 1997, where he interviewed a guy who was plugging a book about surviving a fiery airliner crash. Howard had the guy walking through every detail of the crash. One thing he said that stood out was about another passenger who did not survive: "They said the cause of death was smoke inhalation, not burning to death--but I don't know if I believe that."

Then the next night, I saw Jimmy McGill say the same thing on the bench outside of Chuck's house.

We all seem to be presuming Jimmy wants Mike to steal figurines...but I have the feeling this isn't theft for money. He has other plans for this figurine than lining his pockets. I'm guessing an awful attempt at getting an old lady to forgive him. She'll send him packing, then the copier dude will show up to work one day and discover the stolen figure has miraculously reappeared.

Yeah, I don't see Mike stealing figurines for money. I'm sure however it plays out will be great.

Had we ever seen angry Kim before? That was impressive. I'm not sure Howard deserved any of it, but still...

Oh, and what "classic movie" channel do you think would show Jaws 3D with commercials? Nice dig at AMC from their current top show.

Pretty sure Jimmy already knew the $5 bill production use of that old copier. I think he had talked about counterfeiting with his old Chicago friend.

This makes no sense. If his plan all along was to steal the display then he never goes back for the job.

Do you really think they will have Mike just stealing the case? He's slippin' Jimmy now... It will be some kind of con where he switches it out somehow or another creative and slimy tactic that plays up his renewed sense of self. And I think the figurine is from an earlier season, but cannot place where I saw it. Wouldn't be surprised if he had these job interviews lined up to case the real jobs he's actually planning on.

Yeah, between his dad, the cartel, switching Hector's meds... he's got a lot on his mind and he's playing it well.

But someone explain this.
He tells his dad "It's over, no one is coming for that."
Then he finally takes it and puts it in his pocket?

Are they valuable? The copier guy said he hadn't got around to tossing them in the dumpster.

I also liked how right after Nacho and his partner were walking away following the standoff (and just before they were jumped), Nacho had this look on his face that said "I'm too old for this ****."

You see Jimmy looking at something either on TV or a computer showing one of them is worth over $4,000.
