Wow, that was a quick transition into Slippin' Kimmy. I feel like I need a shower after that opening.

Me too!

That Wendy theory has been floating for a few weeks (maybe even years) now. I think there's no chance it happens but depending on how it was handled could either be hilarious or devastating.

we've been trying to figure out where it goes wrong with kim, and I guess the answer isn't so hard to figure after all:

Spoiler:
jimmy is a narcissistic unappreciative ass

ofc the finale has setup to be great. in vince we trust.

this show always manages to surprise me....I just assumed that Jimmy would get his license back, no problem.

nothing is ever easy or obv in this show or breaking bad. he will get his license back, but hes gonna pull off some sort of scam to do it.

its more that he is massively insecure. he cant think kim sees him as anything other than slippin jimmy. likely bc his brother couldnt.

Does it not occur to them that he has personal reasons for not talking about Chuck or is it just black and white he lied so no license? That was frustratingly stupid. I would watch an episode of them coming to a decision.

The guy playing Lalo is a good actor and I now care what happens with him. Even if he's just there to provide Salamanca back-story it's worth it. I'm genuinely curious whether he was trying to set Gus up or if he was sincerely trying to bury the hatchet by pointing out Eladio's apparent divide-and-conquer strategy between them.

I did NOT see the German outsmarting Mike thing coming, at all. I figured he was gonna try to RUNNOFT once he tried to get an extended visit with his wife out of Mike, and he did it in a really cool way imo, but I assumed he would die trying (I guess he still may).

And I'm back to having nfi what happens next with Kim and Jimmy. Not sure what to make of him not getting his license back but I assume that gets rectified next episode because I cannot imagine another season of Jimmy selling burner phones (and Jimmy went out of his way to say there was no way he was doing that anyway)

Finally! Things start taking off! A lot of setting up for that payoff.

Werner running off a giant compound like that without being caught in the planning stages? How? With every piece of security, you think they'd figure out before anything happened.

I initially thought he was going to kill himself as that would have made more sense. Depressed, stuck in one place forever, not seeing your family, spending all of your time with the same people can cause anybody to have suicidal thoughts. But a one-man getaway like that by a middle-aged man is absurd.

Having Kai take over is basically a recipe for disaster. That choice makes no sense unless it's a convenient device to create more drama in building the superlab.

Wouldn't be surprised if Chuck talked to the bar to make sure would never give him his license back after he went through with his punishment. Gonna be interesting to see how Jimmy works around this to get his license back.

The Kim and Jimmy argument that should have happened a few episodes ago finally did. Yet in the end, she still wants to help him get his license back. I think Jimmy's comment about Kim rolling around in the mud with him when she's bored of her life is pretty accurate. That's why she's using him. Eventually, they either gotta become scammers or break up.

What happened to Nacho? He appeared to be a big-shot type for like one episode collecting his cut from drug dealers and now he's a ***** driving around one of the Salamancas.

Much better episode this week.

I had a random thought, remember the German who electrocuted himself in a bathroom in BB.. that's not this guy right? Surely not given this was written after, I just can't remember that it was confirmed who that guy was but my memory is terrible. It's be pretty cool though, say the rest of the Germans were killed due to his actions and he was a wanted man.

I thought they were going to find him hanging from a rafter during their frantic search of the place, but once they showed that he escaped it made perfect sense. I think the bit about him missing his wife was a ruse for Mike. He finally figured out that he probably wasn't going home alive, hence the shaking and whatnot. I don't think he was GTFO because he was homesick; it was self preservation imo.

It was kind of jarring to see Nacho sitting there with the "Who, me?" face when Gus gave him the stink eye at the restaurant, but I just chalk the storyline up to Nacho briefly being king **** only to have that ripped from him with the arrival of Lalo and now he's back to servant status.

Also agree that Kai is going to **** more **** up, but we know the lab gets built so they have no choice but to roll with Kai & Co because they're not getting a whole new crew in there to finish the job.

It would be funny if Werner got captured and brought back and forced to finish the job attached to a chain a la Jesse.

I really hope Howard comes back at some point, even if it's just him wandering the streets of Albuquerque in a bathrobe and slippers. It would be really cool if Howard was the one who helped Jimmy get his license restored somehow.

ya this makes sense. he is likely esp scared after spilling the beans at the bar. he proly thinks that mistake cost him his life and he may be correct. given his conversations with Mike, they gotta think he is a lock to share everything with her at least.

--Thanks for reminding me that I *still* haven't tried "Franch" yet.

--I don't think Werner's escape was "self preservation". If he left because he thought he was in danger, and if he saw a way out, he would not have left his cohorts behind.

He's just flaky right now.

Watching Jimmy self destruct due to his insecurities against the only person who's had his back for 5 seasons was really difficult.

Continuing the pitty party once he got back to the apartment and she was waiting for him made me so mad.
