I suppose 46 was considered too old for nudity? I really don't know.
They could have used lighting and camera angle to show she was naked without actually seeing her naked.
Or use a body double. Her crawling out of from under the covers with shorts and a top on doesn't make sense.

Really don't get being bored by the nacho plot. I'd rather watch him doing anything than anything related to lawyering.

I think that was just a callback to when he did the same to krazy 8.

If you get the impression he is enjoying the life, I think we are watching different shows. He might have money, but he doesn't really care about that. He is just keeping up appearances.

I'm 100% in the "this show is still great" camp.

And nothing I've seen in the past 2 episodes has altered my opinion that the Germans don't get out alive.

Yeah, the entire Nacho sequence was him being miserable. They showed him staring wistfully at the fake Canadian ID's he has for himself and his father, dreaming of a way out.

Yeah there's no way Nacho is happy with his position. He doesn't have the sociopathic edge needed to run a drug operation. Never did. Even when he was dealing with Tuco, he was kind of soft.

I'm confused about the Salamanca personnel decisions, why are the twins not around keeping an eye on things? (I'm sure they told us but I didn't get coffee this morning so apologies in advance.) And furthermore, with the twins out of the picture what's stopping Gus & his people from simply blasting Lalo back to wherever and just taking over the whole operation?

I think after they murdered the rival gang they went back to Mexico to stay out of radar.

Because the Salamanca family is huge and powerful and they are on the same side? Gus isn't anywhere strong enough to fight a whole drug cartel (yet).

Besides, it's US Tier 1 cable. No 7 words you can't say, no nudity other than maybe a brief glimpse.

Seahorn's been naked on camera. Google is your friend.

Cliffs

German guy spews, plus tries too hard/awkwardly to bond with Mike. Sad realization that he may never see the motherland again.

Kim is mad, pulls out all stops to: (1) get guy off and (2) show her peers she is a force to be reckoned with, in or outside the courtroom. Whole thing gets her hot; Jimmy gets laid.

After he said it would never happen again Mike glared at him for a few before saying "OK, lets get you to work."
Kinda like Tuco's lie detector.

I'm starting to swing from:

"If you think this show is slow, you're not enjoying the artistry of the film-making. The writing, the acting, the photography, the music, the tiny details--all these things are entertaining, even when the plot isn't necessarily moving...."

to:

"Man, this show is slow!"

I guess I miss Chuck? He was spectacular.

Great episode

Did Werner set off anyone elses gaydar? (I know they talked about his wife etc).

Nacho clearly depressed by his situation.

I think the show is so much better without Chuck. Guess I'm in the minority.

Nacho was loving being "da man". Looks like trouble with a Salamanca showing up.
Such a bad read. He had two moderately attractive tweaker girls in his house waiting for him to come home and give them some ice and some D and he chose to sulk in his bedroom instead.

Chuck was awesome and was in an unsustainable state as he was written that way with an expiration date in mind.

It seemed that the whole Nacho thing was out of place in that episode. The whole bit of that was like a "Hey, remember me? I'm the guy who's probably going to die soon. Don't forget that my underdeveloped storyline exists!"
Probably not that soon. In Saul's first appearance on Breaking Bad, when Walt and Jesse kidnap him, at first he thinks Lalo (the Salamanca cook from the current episode) sent them and tells them that Ignacio was to blame, not him. So, that's about four years in the future with Nacho seemingly still alive.

I came here to make the case that Chuck was an incredible character...and as I prepared his defense, I realized him to be one of the most interesting characters in the history of television, and no, I'm not kidding. So smart, so powerful, yet so fundamentally flawed, with that flaw's manifestation one that we'd never seen before.

I don't watch much tv any more (I'm just now getting around to Justified, for crying out loud), so I'm not nearly qualified to say this: McKean's performance of that character is one of the best tv series performances I've ever seen.

/hot take

(Speaking of great performances and BrBa, if you haven't seen Bryan Cranston in "Last Flag Flying", you should fix that, and soon. He was so good, and that movie was terrific. Carrell and Fishburn kicked ass in this, as well.)

You could interpret Saul choosing to pin it on Nacho because Nacho is already dead. If he is dead he can't refute Saul's claim that he was to blame. Not to mention the way the backstory for Nacho (with the estranged but loving father) I'd be shocked if he makes it to the BrBa timeline.

@ytf, thats not a hot take at all. its pretty apparent he was a great and compelling character. def agree that the show is not the same. seems to have lost its heart and is still looking for a new identity.
