I've thought that from the start. Why risk one of the workers going back home and spilling the beans on whatever Germany's version of 'Dateline' is when you can simply eliminate them all?

Actually the "classic Buck" is Robert Englund in Tobe Hooper's Eaten Alive (1976) who even has the same line, Tarantino simply gave homage to/ripped off in Kill Bill.

Not to mention that Gus has connections to Lydia and Madrigal has a presence in Germany and Lydia distributes in Europe.

Too many loose ends to let the Germans go home.

Hot take: Gus Fring doesn't murder everyone he does business with. Even those with whom he parts company.

Re: Better Call Saul - season 4 - Aug. 6

The whole "Gus is super carefull" plot never made any sense. Remember when Jesse had a conflict with some dealers? He showed his face to those street dealers. He could have let some underling deal with it, or call into the meeting with some kind of voice modulator. Instead, he showed his face to some peons. I always assumed it was a plot hole, but maybe he simply has some blind spots.

She's on a kick of doing the right thing. and she knows Huell doesnt deserve to do time. she especially feels bad for Huell because he's involved with Jimmy.

She doesnt like all of Jimmy's crap, but she's game for a scheme every once in awhile.

I thought this from the beginning. Even if one of them gets a bit curious, he can tell the others what he thinks and get them killed too for fear of them going home with that information and spreading it to others.

And when a dozen Germans don't come home, that likely had family and friends that at least know what city they went to ....

Because Gus is careful and builds partnerships, he doesn't whack everyone that does a good job for him, he is careful to select people that will do a good job in the first place, and when they do he considers them an asset he could do business with again.

They probably knew what city they flew to in America but that's it. Once they met up with Mike, they had a bag over their heads and couldn't see where they were going. They also couldn't communicate with their families at home to tell them what they were doing while in America.

One thing I'm curious about is how they'll be able to get out of the country without being questioned by immigration. It's not like they got work visas to work on a meth superlab. They probably went there visa-free and overstayed by months. No doubt all of them would be questioned and at least one would end up spilling everything they know. Would Gus really be willing to risk that?

Isn't the lab under the laundry where Mike was taking Walt to kill him before Gale got popped?

Re: Better Call Saul - season 4 - Aug. 6

Gus planning to kill the Germans is definitely not his style. The only people he kills are those who cross him or fail him. I don't recall him killing anyone in BB who he dealt with and did what they were expected to do.

Now he might end up killing them. But it would be unlike him to plan to do so. And if it were his plan, there is no need for most of the precautions Mike is taking. The main purpose of taking the precautions is so that you don't have to kill them.
