Better Call Saul - season 4 - Aug. 6 Better Call Saul - season 4 - Aug. 6

I liked the episode, except for the somewhat hackneyed scene at the strip club. Mike is so concerned about privacy and security, yet he brings the crew to a seedy local club for "fresh air and recreation"?

As I mentioned up thread, how difficult would it be to drive the guys to a secluded location, bring some frisbees, maybe a volleyball net, some beer and picnic food, and bus in some hookers for sex-filled picnic?

I got a laugh out of the scam.

Seems that Kim and Jimmy are gonna be a legal Bonnie & Clyde rather than split up. It's way out of character for her to do this but I guess it'll be more entertaining to watch.

I really liked the episode overall but I'm not sure why they're giving the Germans so much air time, my guess is that there's a payoff here (they're all going to get killed)
Something has to happen to the Germans. I think we are 4 years or so away from the lab being setup, right? Unless they just let the room sit empty during that time, something occurs to delay it.

I don't really think it is out of character at all. It has been shown in previous seasons that Kim is mischievous and is happy to do small scams as long as no one is hurt. Kim hates her current job and wants to somethin to alleviate the boredom and feel alive.

So Kim's bean only twitches when she's running scams, otherwise she despises the whole of her existence

Yeah but this wasn't a small scam for a few dollars at a restaurant. This was the type of scam that could have not only ended her legal career but put her in prison for 5 years.

I think I remember Chuck saying something about Jimmy destroying everything he touches or something along those lines. He was dead on.

ya strip club is about the worst option for these guys. ok lets get a bunch of testosterone filled young guys who are physically active all day and who havent gotten laid in nearly a year and then tease them. ofc one of them is gonna go too far.

Per one of the show runners: mike took Werner to the same bar where he would later punch Walter White.

I legit thought they brought in dancers and turned a corner of their biodome into a strip club at first lol

The pictures of Huell on that website are amazing.

Decent episode. I can't believe we're already at episode 8, it feels like not that much has happened, but the show is still really good at what it does.

I wonder if one of Kim and Jimmy's tricks will backfire and Kim will be unable to work as a lawyer because of it. At least something basically has to happen to her before we enter the Breaking Bad part of the timeline.

That was also my first thought, followed by "Mike did a crappy job setting up this party."

I thought the scam was pretty far fetched.
I can't imagine the prosecuting attorney buying it.
I can't imagine Kim taking that much risk.

Did Kim and Jimmy "do it" or not? What's she doing climbing out of bed clothed?

Nacho was loving being "da man". Looks like trouble with a Salamanca showing up.

Thought the next season was the last one. I mean there's no way the meth lab gets finished, Nacho (probably) gets whacked, and Kim gets burned in some way within the next few episodes.

It seemed that the whole Nacho thing was out of place in that episode. The whole bit of that was like a "Hey, remember me? I'm the guy who's probably going to die soon. Don't forget that my underdeveloped storyline exists!"

Guess Rhea had objections to being naked on camera.

I suppose 46 was considered too old for nudity? I really don't know.

I don't think Nacho loves any of this. He wants out. He thought wacking Hector would do the trick, but Gus has him on a string now.

He just hates it MORE now that Hector Jr popped up in Hector's place.
