Sure, we are seeing snapshots of Chuck being a massive douche, but the way I look at it, Chuck has spent the vast majority of his life (literally decades) watching Jimmy go from one eff-up after another, one scam after another, without consequence. And now he's in a position to ensure that Jimmy finally has to pay the piper for his shadiness, and he wants to see it through.

I can't hate Chuck, since I'm pretty sure if I were in his shoes I might be doing the same thing.

Nah man. Teddy bear shots were in black-and-white. Those underwater sparkling sun shots were def the Don's pool. I knew where we were before he revealed himself to the viewer.

Also, just read a theory that what Mike found in Chuck's address book might be a lead on where to find the original tape? This seems like a stretch to me, tho, as HHM must have a safe, no?

Chuck's behavior when mom died was enuf for me to want to light up his lanterns.

Also, nice shots of Gus at the fire station...

seems impossible that the door has anything to do with this scheme. just a ruse to get Mike in there, probably for information/evidence, as just stealing the original tape or whatever is too easy for VG.

last part about some kind of contrapment defense? idk. again, probably not convoluted enough for VG.

An entrapment contraption, like a net launcher?

IIRC wasn't it implied that Chuck kinda drove Jimmy to being the way he is by constantly telling him he was never good enough? Jimmy tried to change his life around and got his law degree and was working the mail room and Chuck was already trying to sabotage him. We know a big part of why Chuck hates Jimmy is because their mom called for Jimmy in her last dying words. And Chuck straight lied to Jimmy about it, so Chuck isn't mr perfect morals and ethics, he's just trying to prove he's better than Jimmy and that Jimmy is a bad person.

There are millions of people in the world that are way worse than Jimmy, but Chuck has made it his main goal to sabotage Jimmy even when Jimmy looked like he was trying to turn his life around.

Jimmy may be flawed but he's not that bad of a person and he's gone to insane lengths to try and help his brother. If Chuck were a decent person he'd do the same for Jimmy and try to help him instead of constantly belitte and sabotage him. He's just a resentful little douche over the mom thing.

Jimmy stole money from his dad and bankrupted the family business because some random dude told him scammin' iz kool long before Chuck ever did anything to him.

and yes, Chuck (after putting Jimmy through law school? can't remember that far back) committed the unforgivable sin or telling a grown ass man that he didn't want him working at his law firm. impossible to get over that, and totally justifies everything else (including the deliberate sabotage of a mentally ill family member).

This is gonna be a tough week.

Hector is seriously pissed off.

Spoiler:
Bolsa shows up Hector by bringing lots more cash from Gus than him and all neatly plastic wrapped.

Then Don Eladio gets everyone laughing at him talking about how Gus's wanger is bigger than his.

You can just about see steam coming out his ears.

Chuck didn't put him through law school, he didn't even know until jimmy showed him and then he made fun of the school he graduated from.

that must have been rough, don't know how a ~35yo dude would ever survive a barb like that

What? Pretty sure you got that wrong. Yes Chuck assumes Jimmy stole all the money, but we are shown that his dad was actually giving away that money to every sucker who came through the door. Jimmy steals a couple bucks after he realizes his dad was being a fool and giving it away, but that doesn't mean Jimmy stole the 14k. It's implied his dad gave all that away, which Chuck isn't aware the dad was doing.

Pretty sure that was the whole point of that scene, to show Jimmys dad was just giving money away and being played a fool constantly. Which made Jimmy not want to be like that.

I mean did Jimmys father even tell Chuck that he wouldn't hear it when Chuck blamed Jimmy? Maybe that's his dads way of protecting Jimmy, but I think it's because he knows it wasn't really Jimmys fault.

Jimmy is shown constantly to love his family, I highly doubt he just ripped his dad off constantly to bankruptcy. If he did end up stealing the money it was probably to help secure Chucks scholarship or something. No way Jimmy just pocketed the money, doesn't fit his character at all.

Jimmy has his flaws, but he's loyal to a fault to people he cares about.

How pathetic does one have to be to troll a thread related to a TV show?
05-02-2017 , 08:35 PM
probably less pathetic than somebody who trolls a thread in support of a murderer
05-02-2017 , 08:38 PM
It is said Jimmys dad was literally known for being a super easy mark for scammers. It is almost a certainty that over all those years he gave away a ton of money.

The ambiguity of the scene with Jimmy stealing 8 bucks is meant to sucker people into thinking it maybe was Jimmy, but it'll be shown it wasn't. As I said it doesn't fit his character at all.

He gave back the kettlemans money. He isn't a thief without a code, he only steals from greedy/scummy people and he loves his family to death and would choose them over himself.
05-02-2017 , 08:46 PM
yes, i totally bet that the dad gave $14k away to randoms, and the point of the scene is that a now deceased character was a sucker
