Tiny thing, but just want to point out the Pollos truck in the opening/future looked brand new and gleaming, illustrating the growth of Gus' operation.

But you guys prob caught that.

On a side-note note, that guy in the truck was a fkn monster.

Why did Mike shoot into the air while the truck guys were out of the truck?
04-26-2017 , 08:13 PM
So they would assume it was hunters. If it was the first shot they heard as they were driving off, they would have suspected the shot was directed toward them and possibly stopped or retreated.

If he had only fired one shot at the sneakers as they were leaving, it would have been odd. Perhaps it would have seemed suspicious.

By firing multiple shots, he convinced the two truck guys that it was just hunters in the desert. So, when they heard another shot as they were leaving, they ignored it and probably never connected the gunshots to getting busted.

What do you hunt with rifles in the desert?

That would be a good merge of 2 great movies,,,but alas Texas in the 1970s isnt the same as New Mexico in the 1990/2000s

Kim doesn't have to be out of the picture for BB. She could certainly still be in Jimmy/Saul's life then. All we know is they won't be sharing office space together.

Hell, Chuck could still be at HHM. It's hard to imagine a scenario where Chuck peacefully coexists with Saul Goodman Attorney-at-Law, but just because we don't see someone in BB, doesn't mean that character can't still be part of Jimmy/Saul's life. All we see of Saul Goodman is what he does in the context of Walt/Jesse/Mike. The character doesn't stop existing beyond that.

Was about to post the same thing. Just rewatched the movie last Sunday night, my third favorite Coen Brothers movie.

Nitpick: No Country for Old Men is set in 1980.

That bugged me as well so I googled it and apparently Oryx aka Gemsbuck.

Obv not native and was brought over from Africa for the purpose of big game hunting in NM.

And that scene was actually shot in NM.

I was surprised Jimmy stepped in at 6'-0". I'd a had him at about 5'8 or 5'9

Saul barely talks to the legal community except opposing counsel. Every lawyer character in BCS could simply have ostracized him, except Chuck.

No, they don't stop existing but that wouldn't be consistent with what we see in BB and more importantly wouldn't be consistent with Jimmy's character. He ruins his relationships, that is an immutable part of him. Why on earth would you expect it to be different with Kim?
04-27-2017 , 08:14 AM
Probably what happens between him and Kim is finally what makes him snap and turn to the idgaf Saul.
04-27-2017 , 08:40 AM
Maybe Kim will leave him and rejoin HHM
