I'm pretty sure she is his Daughter In Law. I'm assuming that his son was somehow involved in whatever had Mike get booted out of Philly and the DIL doesn't want him around the grand daughter.

I agree. Also, the fact that Mike's first reaction to someone knocking on his front door in the middle of the day was to grab a baseball bat implies he's already up to some shady stuff.

Great episode. On par with the darkest and most intense BB episodes. Mike just keeps delivering.

Man I really hope they just run this timeline up to the exact time BB starts. Maybe some more looks at what's going on (if anything) with present day Omaha Saul as well.

Banks completely killed it.

I predict many actors are beginning to memorize Mike's monologue at the end of the episodes for their audition tapes.

Banks for the Emmy. That end speech was on par with "No Half Measures" as far as potency goes.

Amazing episode.

Breaking Bad was awesome obviously, but it foundered a bit in the beginning, and the writer's strike certainly didn't help. BCS has nailed it right out of the gate.

So all the talk about this being a lighter comedy type show obviously went out the window. It's essentially shaping up as Breaking Bad minus Walter White & family.

I still wish they'd have started the show from where BB left off instead of a prequel, but hard to argue with what they've pulled off so far esp with Mike. And it's really just been Saul and Mike carrying it for me, the rest of the cast hasn't been all that interesting so far.

i love kerry condon too. i'm a little distracted by her american accent sadly. i think she's better with her natural accent. i'd still rather watch her than most other actresses cuz she's just that good anyway.

i quit breaking bad after 3 seasons. i know im like the only person on earth who did. i just got kinda bored with it. i keep meaning to go back to it. because of how much im liking BCS, i went back and rewatched first episode of BB. i think i'll keep going.

but man, this show is just great. i'm really impressed.

oh about that last monologue. by itself i don't think it's an especially good monologue. i'm an actor and i'm always looking out for monologues. i wouldn't use this one though. BUT man, that actor killed it, and everyone around him did a great job too. the lighting and the sound and condon's reactions, and the whole story that lead up to it. really quality stuff.

The climax scene was obv very exciting. The speech was good too.
