Do people get made at the movies during the previews because they spoiler the movies?

No, pretty sure the mafia has different requirements than that.

If movies had an intermission, where scenes from the second half of the movie were shown, then yes, they would.

I'd be mad if RowCoach actually spoilered the ep, but saying something that you could see in a commercial any time you watch AMC is a spoiler is lol.

Previews aren't discussed under any circumstances around these parts.

It's just how it's always been here. Personally, I don't care, either. There are plenty of people who go out of their way not to watch that stuff, though.

2) Previews of next week episode are NOT spoilers (let me repeat that ARE NOT SPOILERS!!!) However consider your self that giant douche waffle I mentioned if you post it with out using spoiler tags.
I agree with both statements. It's not a spoiler and RowCoach is a giant douche.

I will endeavor to put previews within spoiler tags in the future. I don't like to read spoilers either but it's obvious where the show was headed regarding Mike. I wanted to move the discussion beyond the obvious. Like what is Mike getting arrested or interrogated for?

Any back story from BB I'm not remembering?

I'm going out on a limb, and predicting a few things we're about to learn about Mike:

Spoiler:
I'm thinking that he was actually, believe it or not, an honest cop. That would explain why he's driving a crappy car and living in crappy house with barely any furniture. I'm guessing some crooked cops got busted, and either he was bounced out of there for not ratting out anyone, or they just cleaned house and found him guilty by association. Either way, that would explain his anti-cop stance when it came time to press charges against Jimmy.

Not really sure I buy that, since:

Spoiler:
Turning to a life of crime wouldn't exactly be something an honest cop would ultimately do. If anything, I wouldn't be surprised if his boredom is what always got him in trouble. Based on the reaction of his daughter, he's done something wrong. I think the main reason he's in New Mexico is to be near his estranged daughter.

Spoiler:
--Not something an honest chemestry teacher would do, either. Things happen.

--Based on the reaction of his daughter, he's been accused of doing something wrong.

--We agree on why he's in NM.

Spoiler:
Pretty big difference between Mike and Walter. Walter turned 50, got diagnosed with cancer, and had a mid-life crisis on almost the same day, if not the same day. Mike's 60 something, and is apparently estranged from his daughter. His daughter's not going to love him more if he gives her a bunch of dirty money. I'll be interested to find out what the deal is, though.

When they were showing Mike at his job without Saul there, I expected to see another Breaking Bad character walk up to him for some sort of transaction. It didn't go the direction I was expecting.

Do we know for sure that is his daughter, or is even that speculation? I never really recall seeing his daughter in BB, just his granddaughter.

Some inferences are fairly obvious. She's about the right age to be his daughter, so there's no reason to think otherwise.

I think the point of the Mike scenes in the last episode was to show how pathetic and boring his life is.

Finally caught up and love it, think it's as strong as BB through five episodes (BB is probably the only show ever where its quality curve continually increases).

I think the show is really going to takeoff now that Mike has a real storyline.

My Mike guesses, based on the character we know from BB, which others have mostly mentioned: The woman is his daughter, cops showed up b/c he violated his restraining order. He was a good cop but crooked, like Vic Mackey, maybe he dabbled in some drug dealing on the side and the other cops in the scam sold him out.

That backstory would make sense if his arc is supposed to be parallel to Jimmy's; both tried some scams back in the day, lately they've been playing by the rules, and now we'll see both of them re-embrace their skill at shady business.

Odd that people's idea of "good cops" includes drug dealing and refusing to report crooked cops.

I'll go with Mike having done something clearly wrong to get booted out of Philly.

Wasn't it established in BB that he did something wrong in Philly? May be misremembering, but I thought Hank brought something up when he was in for questioning.

The cops only showed up for the restraining order if he was a fugitive. Philly cops aren't coming to New Mexico to arrest a guy for a restraining order.

Yes.

My guess has always been Mike did something to the guy that killed his wife (the guy from the "no half measures speech.")

Everyone keeps referring to the woman as Mike's daughter.

But didn't the granddaughter have the last name "Ehrmantrout"?

Sounds like it's more likely she's a daughter-in-law (or an ex).

Don't know if it makes any real difference, though.
