Ya i said to my gf, I'm pretty sure that ID said gondorff. This is 100% a scam. She was impressed/confused at my knowledge when it turned out to be a scam.

i mean i love this show so far, and bob is great, but that is some serious hyperbole.

aside from the subjective liking saul's character more than walt the rest of that post is just insane.

1st season isn't even 1/2 way over and you're claiming its better than one of the GOAT series of all time, and saying bob is a better actor than bryan is just hilariously absurd.

This. That was a fun movie.

That's one hell of a catch.

And it's really awesome that they did that.

I always think of "The great Henry Gondorff" when Redford first saw Newman
snoring on the floor next to the bed with his face smashed up against the wall.

Interesting that Slipin Jimmy used "s' all good man" in his younger days.

--Why hide it from the brother? The brother is his whole life right now. He initially refused the bribe because he promised his brother he wouldn't be That Guy. That dog-and-pony show with the adding machine was not for tax reasons, but to make the money seem clean to his brother. Just like Walt's motivation was his family, Jimmy's motivation is his brother.
Maybe I'm slow, but I thought the calculations were for how much he would have to pay if he lost. He was making sure he could pay-off the cost of the stunt.

Yeah, it definitely wasn't this.

He was "washing" the bribe money to make it look like he earned it legitimately.

And trying to morally justify it to himself, because at this point he's still in his "good guy" phase. The Saul in BB couldn't care less about where some illegally attained money came from. It would just go into the safe.

I keep telling the Gondorff story IRL, and no one recognizes it.

Saul last his morals a long time ago. Setting aside the Slippin Jimmy stuff, he set up a criminal act 2 episodes prior lol.

Jimmy is essentially in Scamaholics Anonymous. His wake up call came when he could have been defined as a sex offender for whatever he did. So, he's been on the wagon for a long time since then trying and failing to live a worthy legitimate life. But then these two stupid azz kids who don't even recognize what a piece of s*** he's driving knock him off the wagon. It puts him on to a different path, and what he realizes is that he was born to be a scammer, now he can just do it sort of legitimately as an ambulance chasing type lawyer. Some people have to embrace the parts they're born to play, even if they might not be the most savory characters. He's essentially addicted to the deal.

Not really, Jimmy has been shady from day one. With the Saul persona he is just institutionalizing it in extremis.

For some reason I can't see Better Call Saul on my Netflix. Do they remove the show before every new ep or..? I try the search function and the first result is Breaking Bad.

Better Call Saul is not available if Netflix determines that you are accessing the site with a US-based IP address.

Great show, but the cops demanding juicy intel from the defense attorney after he speaks with his arrested client, and asking him to "help them out" during the trip to the crime scene were cringeworthy.

rbk,

bob is carrying the show almost entirely by himself, and without a deeply enthralling plot-line.
