Saul (Jimmy?) went by Walter White's house in the scene before he hit the skateboarder or am I just imagining seeing the Aztek in the driveway?

I thought the first episode was great and feel the series has a lot of potential. Looking forward to tomorrow's episode.

Was a bit apprehensive about this because I wasn't sure Odenkirk could completely carry a series. After all, he's really more of a writer than actor.

But that was pretty great.

My main fear now is Gilligan and company leaving this thing after a season or two and it ending up being super ****ty. But we'll see how it goes.

TIGHT TIGHT TIGHT!

Definitely thought he drove by the White's house plus there was a street name reference that reminded me of BB but I'm forgetting it now.

Posting to subscribe mainly. Thought it was a fine first episode. Gilligan appears to be pretty good at this TV thing.

We Crack Open 4 'Breaking Bad' Easter Eggs in the 'Better Call Saul' Premiere

https://tv.yahoo.com/blogs/tv-news/b...224127432.html

"Of course, Mike goes on to become Saul's "cleaner" and his connection to local drug kingpin Gus Fring. And from Breaking Bad, we know Mike was once a Philadelphia cop. But how did he go from police officer to parking lot attendant? Saul star Bob Odenkirk told us that Mike's backstory is the subject of an entire episode coming up, and that "it's a f--king mind-blower." Something to look forward to, Mike fans."

That is cool. No mention of seeing Walt's house and car. I had a feeling we might see it when Saul(Jimmy) was driving around but I didn't see it.

I really kinda loved it. The only thing I'd have loved to have seen was in the cold open, to have had Saul say "****ing Heisenburg!!" or something, just to tickle my nostalgia.

Man, Vince knows how to end en episode!!

Do we know where the cold open was set? I was thinking Minneapolis and that was the Mall of America [no clue why, is city with snow tho] but have never been so can't confirm. Obv wasn't ABQ.

Great episode. A lot better than I thought it was going to be.

A Gus spin-off would be awesome too.

I thought it showed a sticker or something on the register that said Omaha, Nebraska but maybe I'm making stuff up.

Bottom of the Cinnabon logo had the word Nebraska on it

"If I'm lucky, a month from now, best-case scenario, I'm managing a Cinnabon in Omaha."

From Saul in Breaking Bad and that is where this was.

Clearly I'm going to have to watch Breaking Bad all over again just so that I can catch all the references.
