Probably should not have linked to a conspiracy thread from Reddit but the question Electricladylnd asked was also something that I've wondered about and didn't seem to 'sit right' based on the rest of what we have seen.
That sort of fascination with detail was sorta fun with Lost, but I felt like that attitude directly contributed to people setting up the show to be able to give compelling resolution to a huge range of problems and thus a lot of people were disappointed in what I thought was a great ending. But since then it feels like showrunners know that a portion of the market love being titillated by these almost gratuitous details that people love to hunt for and attach significance to, most of which amount to nothing, and manipulate this need for answers by just asking more questions. I don't want to be a part of that, and it runs counter to being in the moment, which feels like the best way to enjoy most things that aren't Primer.
I feel like I remember something happening in season 2 where they find out the lot is worth a lot less than they hoped, I think it was Cicero saying it?
