Wow...that was intense. My guess for next season is:

Spoiler:
The Gov enlists Barry as a hitman in some capacity. Not sure what else could happen, besides an unlikely escape from police custody.

Tense couple of eps to wrap it up. Overall season 8/10(first half 5/10, 2nd half 9/10). Still the best show on tv.

For one of the more consistently funny shows on TV, there was barely a smile to be had in this finale, though there were still some very Barry’esque moments that almost were. Phenomenal episode!!

And Chekhov’s vocal booth..... that was such a great sequence.

I'll just go ahead and say that I didn't really like this season. It wasn't bad television from technical standpoint, but I rewatched the show before the season started airing and it's so far removed from the first and second seasons, it's basically a different show in all but its name. I can deal with the show losing its comedy aspect and becoming very dark, but most of the characters are written as extremely unlikeable (biggest offenders are Barry and Sally) who make decisions that make absolutely no sense (Barry offers to break into the studio exec's house out of the blue). There's nothing wrong with character development, but if almost all of the cast is written radically different between two seasons, it's pretty jarring. Seriously, compare NoHo Hank in the first and this season and it's not even the same person.
Also, the season felt very over-acted/directed. Again, it wasn't bad or anything, but often-times I felt like it was less about the scenes making sense in larger plot and more "look at me, I'm acting and emoting". The entire season felt so overly dramatic and like a bomb was about to go off that by the end it became to feel so one-note I didn't really care about any of it anymore.

Kind of how I feel. I don’t really care anymore. Will continue to watch but thought this season was a big step down.

Agreed, the finale was just plain weird and fell flat, esp if they are producing another season?!.

Fuche's line at the end asking to be called "The Raven" or whatever to the prison guard as he was off to jail was funny though. His character remained the closest to the other seasons and I liked most the the parts with him throughout this season.

I think it was a great season...killing people has consequences, both legally and emotionally. Trauma needs to be addressed.

I am kind of angry that I've told everyone who still watches TV that it is the best show currently airing. This season wasn't top tier like the first two, but still great. The early season eps sucked and it was never must watch Sunday night HBO.

Spoiler:

Who was the guy Sally killed? I feel like I was supposed to recognize him, but I didn't. Was it one of the many people Fuchs tried to get to kill Barry? If so, what person connected to him did Barry kill?

This has to be one of the worst collapses of a TV show I've seen; I can't really explain why I finished watching this season, whether I'm hate watching it, or because it's pulpy and I can do other stuff at the same time, or if I just wanted to complain here, but IMO it's really bad. There is a bizarre disjointed quality to many of the scenes, I found the show has a certain unsettling quietness to it, but not in a good way.

The motorbike scene, which ironically is one of the only passages that kind of worked this season, in particular reminded me of when you'd turn on a random TV channel late at night and it would be showing some random Asian action film. They're speaking Asian so you have no idea what's going on, and well in this show they might as well not be speaking English either because nothing that happens makes much sense at all, it's barely connected in any way, and it's completely dissociated from the first season (someone above also expressed this and I feel the same way). I need someone more verbose to explain wtf I feel about this, but it's just so bizarre. I guess I'll tune in for the 4th season, but I really don't know why I'm watching this. I really think a lot of this season would have been about the same quality if there was no dialogue.

I think as I write this one of the biggest problems with this show is the messaging is completely terrible, like it has absolutely no messaging, it's just a bunch of crazy **** that happens.

The only thing that works is great shot composition and mostly strong performances. Ok got that off my chest TY

My favorite part of this season was the bomb under the house tech call.

It reminded me a lot of the 1st and 2nd seasons.

That was bit over the top for me. The part right before that though where Barry learned of their plan and then had to go fetch the bomb out in the middle of a barren parking lot in a brown box because they were scared of it was funny though. I laughed at the part you found funny too but it was more so about the whole ridiculousness of it all; Naked Gun like humour in that one.

Most of the stuff I've found funny in Barry have been the more subtle jokes or setups. The parking lot raid was great in season 3. Stuff like that setup.

Actress who plays Sally absolutely killed it this season. Also it was nice to see Bunny from The Wire in the last few eps.

Henry Winkler killed it all season. His timing is perfect.

She has at least one stand-out scene every season (on top of generally being just great, of course),
Spoiler:
this time it was the "entitled ****" bit, for me. Kudos to her co-star for holding it together like that.

Just binged this and thought that was a good conclusion. Kind of disappointed there's going to be a season 4 but I hope it's in space.
