I'm finding it's the complete opposite for me. To me everyone is playing the game really hard. All three tribes chose 'deceit' rather than honesty on Day 5. Don't know how much harder you can play. You're probably getting more footage of the cast surviving the elements because the episodes are longer. Episode 3 clocked in a 1hr 15mins.
I'm very much enjoying the longer episodes. One thing that really irritates me in the US version is that everything is crammed breakneck speed into 40mins, so screen time is extremely valuable. Therefore whenever we see footage for example of someone looking for an idol you just know they're going to find it. When we see Michelle getting screen time last year, we know something was sketchy so it was a possible "winner's edit" because it made no sense why'd they'd be showing her. She was completely irrelevant to the game. We even had esad every year wasting his/her time tracking all the confessionals and coming up with his/her cockamania algorithms for spotting the winner LMAO.
I much prefer it this way where we can just watch and enjoy the show rather than try to see if we can outsmart the producers. The show needs to be more free flowing and this is what we're getting. Works for me.
