yea, I've never been a big fan, either.

I think if I interpreted it like this I'd enjoy it more but it was just meh physical comedy to me. Maybe it's time for a rewatch to see how I feel about it in context!

This thread is way to early. Too frequently I see it and (for a split second) I think it's coming up soon.

I wasn't a fan myself, but that ep does have some classic Tobias lines from when he was sampling the day spa package.
The episode does have a lot of good stuff. The problem with Martin Short on the show is that he plays everything so over-the-top and loud, when so much of the humor in AD is subtle and understated, mined from reaction shots, background shots, etc.

Mae Whitman (Ann) was reading the Jane Burnham part in an American Beauty live-read last night that I went to. When I was leaving the theatre I overheard this conversation.

Guy 1: I like Mae Whitman. She was in Arrested Development
Guy 2: Who?
Guy 1: The one who played Jane.
Guy 2: Her?
Guy 1: Mae Whitman, she played Ann.
Guy 2: Who?
Guy 1: Ann
Guy 2: Egg?

Isla Fisher has a role in S4 which should make a fair amount of OOTV happy I would think.

Also TERRY ****ING CREWS.

As if I couldn't be more excited about S4, this happens:

Not sure if there's much of a cross over between AD humour and workaholics humour, I love both so this is pretty amazing. Mitch Hurwitz also had a role in an episode of Workaholics, he was the counsellor guy when the dudes tried to give up booze/drugs for a week.

Gob: The kid's amazing though... It's almost like, I wish he could be my dad.

Michael: Okay, ummm. Your Dad's not trying to find you. Your son is. That kid's your son. You're the Dad.

Gob: I've made a huge tiny mistake.
