Maybe the purpose of Stan's wife is to have someone the viewers know to go after Philip and Elizabeth? Can't have a complete stranger kill one or both of them.

Man, it's really late in the game for Stan's wife to really do anything big that wouldn't sort of come out of nowhere. I know she was introduced last season, but she hasn't really done anything since then. Idk, we'll see I guess.

Anyone else think Elizabeth's heelturn was sort of sudden?

Remember she and Stan have been together for ~4 years (we skipped ahead 3 years this season).

Claudia lying to Elizabeth seems to be the switch. That and even though she doesnt want to admit it, deep down she loves and trusts Phillip--pretty much the overarching theme of the series.

I think the Elizabeth turn started when she was told that the kid found those two people she killed in the house. Then she didn't kill the other kid in this episode, then realized she was lied to.

Was wondering why they made her out to be a homicidal maniac more so this season than any other, but I guess it was to have her turn around be that much more dramatic.

I don't buy or like the turnaround. I never thought Elizabeth would go soft. When she thought about saving the painting, then burned it anyway, I said "that's my girl!"

In my Greek tragedy ending, Elizabeth takes the cyanide pill, then Philip finds out (in a way I haven't worked out) that Dead Hand was a fabrication to manipulate her and others.

Seems like they still have a lot of **** to resolve in 1 episode. Anyone know how long it will be? Longer than normal?

Either way I have faith for now that the showrunners will be able to pull it off.

Liz-Lives in witness protection w kids
Paige and Henry--Live but Paige kills someone (please)--many the guy Liz slept with

Stan Lives but disgraced, Kills Philip
Adderholt-dies (black guy trope)
Stan's wife, lives-really is a spy revealed in late scene that has nothing to do with the rest of the episode

Oleg dies saving Elizabeth
Old lady spy-dies after killing Adderholt

Elizabeth has always been about her country. She had the turnaround because the things that she was being asked to do were treasonous. Made total sense to me.
