But the story has to tie back to the US somehow. It doesn't make sense to spit oleg into his own narrative that never comes back to the main storyline. That's a spin-off.

Because there's gotta be a reason Martha is still an active character and nothing else makes sense. They've brought them close to colliding already (in the grocery store), they're clearly going to run into each other and Oleg is going to figure stuff out. And he's going to want to bring something valuable with him to make sure he gets a good deal in USA #1.
