Done with American Idol this season I think. Siobhan was the only person worth watching for..everybody else is predictable and/or bad.

So what was supposed to be the girls' season ends up with one girl in the top 5. What are Aaron's chances of winning at this point? If he gets heads up with Crystal he can't be a huge dog and might even be a slight favorite.

Man this final five is a snoozefest. Nice work America.

I'm starting to think that the texting boom has made this show extremely difficult for girls to do well on, since generally the texting little girls will be going for the guy singers. I'm basically assuming that Crystal will lose against x crappy guy once it gets heads up.

Crystal not winning would be a travesty. Nobody is even close to as good as her. It kinda happened last year with Adam being much better than all but the gap between Adam and Kris was nowhere near Crystal and the four guys this season. I don't know how I'd rank them all now... something like...

The guys are somewhat interchangeable. Any of them is capable of being better than the others depending on song choice.

And yet I would bet Crystal does not win. I have infinite confidence in the ability of the masses (especially when they are mostly little girls) to make the wrong decision.

I already have Crystal vs the field getting odds with Assani from earlier. And I have Casey LL Lee against somebody else, not looking good there. I'm open to betting more on Crystal vs field.

not that she was the greatest thing out there but she was phenomenal on certain songs and certain sections of songs.

let's face it, the only reason they saved michael lynch is due to the whole race issue. he is nothing special. siobhan got screwed cuz of it.

Siobhan didn't help herself the last 6 or so weeks. That's a long time to struggle. I don't think it was all bad those weeks but she never came close to her early performances.

Across the Universe was her best performance by miles.

That was a good one, her 4th best imo. PIB, HOTRS and Wicked Game top 3... also Think was better than ATU. So, 5th.

first off, michael has been one of the top 3 guys all but one week, the week he butchered Eleanor Rigby. I don't get the hate for Michael, he has the best male voice left by miles. Maybe not the most recordable, but straight up vocal ability he crushes Lee and Casey.

1. Lee can't sing more than 5 notes

2. Casey warbles everytime he goes for any kinda big note



also, Siobhan had a few great performances early on, but in the last 6 weeks she's been garbage, and I like her, and I picked her to win. But that Shania song she sang was brutal.

I said after the top 20 performaces, it's crystal/mike/siobhan to win, and I'm not wrong yet.

I still prefer her version of Wicked Game. One of my favs of this season. I also liked Casey's Jealous Guy.

I'm surprised, but not shocked. She was literally a one-note wonder. I can't argue with her going home, although I'm surprised that it's 1 guy and 4 girls. This should be an easy walk to the finals for Crystal, regardless of future performances.

I've lurked for a while. I'll throw in my prediction.

First, I think Siobhan's votes get split up between Casey, Lee and Crystal.

Mike won't win because he sucks and should have already been gone, and his vote base is too small to carry him as the votes consolidate behind others.

Aaron likely won't win because his boy band demographic won't get him enough votes as the contestants dwindle and votes consolidate and because he sucks.

Casey could win but I was a bit surprised he was in the bottom 3 instead of Aaron. He has a commercial voice and the right image so I think he has a good shot when Aaron and Mike voters consolidate towards him, although apparently there is a chance he could go before Aaron, although I doubt it.

Crystal likely won't win, because she comes off as a white trash hippie with the dreads and the piercings and ultimately that will be her downfall with the voting public, as the people who don't vote for her already will consolidate behind someone else as the contestants dwindle.

Lee most likely wins. He has a good commercial voice. I think most voters disagree with the haters here about his ability to hit the notes and he has the right kind of appeal for the typical voters, who will gravitate towards him as Mike, Aaron and Casey leave.

I would think we see a Casey/Lee/Crystal top three although an Aaron/Lee/Crystal top 3 would not completely surprise me. I think we see a Lee/Crystal Final, although a Lee/Casey or Lee/Aaron final would not shock me.

The interesting part of this is that the 3 strongest contestants (Lee, Crystal, Casey) are pretty much guitar-based performers. Any two of these in the finale, sans guitar, with a cheesy ballad, is going to be epically horrible.

What are you talking about? Ignoring personal preference, she had/has one of the best voices that has ever been on american idol. Her control is absolutely phenomenal, and her range is very good. Anyone who doesn't beleive me, listen to the studio version of the Mariah/Whitney song**
