i siobhan but tonight, as well as the last two weeks have been really bad. she isn't going to skate much further on "the middle-to-end" of her performances.

Siobhan could legitimately be in danger of going home. Andrew is definitely gone, but I dunno who else...Aaron perhaps. Tim could end up lasting a lot longer than I thought.

I can see how you guys can say the start of this weeks performance was bad, but everything from the middle on was phenomenal. If you disagree with this and liked her in the past, you are an idiot, as the vocals/notes hit in this song were better than the ones in her first few weeks were.

As far as last week, last weeks performance was amazing. She was perfect. No screeching, no offkey notes, just perfect beautiful singing.

my guess is andrew and aaron are gonna be gone tomorrow. tim will not be in the bottom 3. if he keeps getting better i can see him going home 4th. (lolwut) but i think thehip is right when he has tim going in 5th. tbh the scope of things is entirely different than it was a couple weeks ago. crystal is basically a lock for top two. it's just a question of who else is going to join her iyam.

For someone who should have been out at least twice already (how he and Jermaine both made it past the first week of top 12 guys is ****ing beyond me), Tim is really improving. I still think he's by far the least talented guy remaining, including Andrew, but I think he's made it through another week.

Siobhan's biggest problem is that 2 of the 3 last three weeks have been horrible genres for her, with the exception being Lennon/McCartney. I still think her performance of "Wicked Game" was the best of the season by anyone but she's definitely at risk tonight and lol at thinking she was near the top of the list last night.

Agreed. Lee is probably the favorite to be there with her, but I think he's splitting votes with both Casey and Siobhan, although I guess Crystal herself is as well.

I liked "Across the Universe" though not as much as her early performances. "Though the Fire" was an absolute trainwreck. "Superstition" was mehh, I feel the same about this week. She's in a bit of a slump. I really hope she doesn't go home. When she's on top of her game I don't think anybody is better.

Crystal should be a lock to win though. She's never not great. Nobody is anywhere close to as talented or polished as her. The only reason somebody else has a shot is that everybody loves an underdog.

Crystal is good, polished, and solid but I don't find her exciting at all. She's consistently good but all of her songs are meshing into one in my head because her interpretations are so similar. I wouldn't be surprised if she wins but I'm clearly rooting for an underdog to take the big prize.

No surprise, but Crystal is running away with it....

Random thoughts:

I am in the anti-Siobahn camp. The first half of the song sounded like something you'd hear on a cruise ship, or maybe on the radio 30 years ago. When she screams her voice has character, when she's not it sounds rather dull.

Casey always sounds pretty on, but his limited range gets to me and he shouldn't last more than another 3-4 weeks.

Mike was a little dramatic, but to be fair his mentor told him to.

Was Ryan dancing with a fat guy during Turban's performance?

its tough this year, since there isn't anyone that is just crushing the field. Sure Crystal is the front runner, but so was Melinda. Then Jordan won by default because she wasn't ugly, and she could sing better than a beat boxer.


So who knows, maybe Crystal goes home third and Katie wins vs Lee/Casey in the same way.

Lol Crystal isnt crushing he field. If this was based on talent alone it would be a total and complete landslide for her (Obv I know its a popularity contest). There is nobody even close.

if it comes down to lee, casey and crystal, per the gokey effect she is far from a lock. The entire competition is dependant on if the fans that vote for casey will vote for lee or vice versa. Crystal might just be so damn good though she beats both their fanbases....im pretty confident this is going to be your top three though.

HOWEVER...

and i thought id never say this...

dont underestimate turban...that performance last night was really REALLY good. A few more of those and people will forget he used to suck. if he picks excellent songs from this point on then its not a huge stretch to think he could make top 3...but if he beats out lee or casey then crystals a lock for the win. I think he'll choke though and again retain my original prediction.

Tim Urban is a steam train. No one will be able to stop this guy's momentum until the top 4. Turban!

what i mean is this.

you put crystal in season 4, and she doesn't even make the top 5

sure crystal is the odds on favorite, but in season 7, cook and DA were worlds better than everyone and no one else even had a chance.


Also, in season 8, Lambert was discernibly better than everyone else by a lot.

My only thinking is this: if crystal has a bad week, she could be bottom 3. Cook and David A just never were in that danger.



one other thing, in season 7, only 2 ppl could win it from the top 10 on, this year, any one of 4-5 people could end up winning. That's why I'm saying Crystal isn't crushing the field

if siobhan can sing like she did a few weeks ago and not be in the bottom three then crystal sure as hell wont either since a bad performance for her isnt going to be anything close to the trainwreck of siobhan that week.
