American Idol Season 9 - Page 66 - OOTV -- Two Plus Two Poker Forums

My rankings:

1. Crystal - girl is such a pro, should have went w/o background singers
2. Lee - that's the guy I think is going deep
3. Andrew - finally
4. Mike - he's a very good singer, but does nothing for me
5. Casey - not bad, but the guy has like a 3-note range
6. Katie - a poor woman's Kelly Clarkson, stop inviting the comparison by singing her songs or songs Kelly performed while on the show
7. Aaron - go away
8. Siobhan - this week 95% bad, 5% good scream note. Cannot see her winning w/this formula
9. Didi - Surprised how bad she was, she should be thankful she has....
10. Tim - a clown

Bottom 3: Tim, Didi, Katie
Bottom 2: Tim, Katie
Gone: Tim

Pretty much agree with all of this. I love Siobhan but she has sucked two weeks in a row now and needs to get it together. Lee is not my cup of tea but he killed it. Crystal wasn't her best but still better than anyone else. Didi should figure out that whenever she plays the guitar they like it and when she doesn't they hate it, so maybe she should, like, play the guitar.

Mike is still so corny and one-note to me, Casey tilts me but he picked a good song and did a decent job with it.

honestly, Aaron is the one guy I could see trojan horsing into the top 3 just by being young and cute and a pretty good singer.

One thing I really liked about last night was Usher. I'm a fan anyways, but it's about damn time a "mentor" actually did some mentoring. He seemed to do a good job. Aaron seemed to completely forget the advice, because his "I know, I know, etc." part was very average.

Usher's interviews were the best. You could tell which people he thought were legit good, and Aaron was not one of them.

he would say stuff like "he can get a lot of points if he sings it right, or play his cards right", etc. To me that seemed like Usher just being nice.

Other artists, at least the ones who sang well last night, he was like legitimately impressed by them. At least thats how it seemed to me.

You keep bring up past Idol contestants, a concept which has absolutely nothing to do with this season. He's not competing against Cook and Daughtry, he's competing against the people still alive this current season in order to win and get the guaranteed contract/media exposure associated with being the AI winner. Down the road, maybe the winner has to worry about competing with the people you've mentioned in terms of record sales.

FWIW, no one outside of David Cook's family could name two of his songs, so I'm rather certain citing him as some type of all time success story is utterly idiotic

Seacrest seemed like he was on coke last night. What was with the awkward of holding didi's hands and asking her about the meaning of the song? Made no sense. Then him telling the father to go drink some beers.

I'd be shocked if final 3 wasn't Lee, Crystal or Siabhon. None of them compare to mullet man who had the best voice of anyone.
