First, this is mostly just an argument for how awful 'America' is. I will not dispute that.

David Cook, David Archuleta, maybe Jason Castro if you are in to that sort of thing. This is the list of people who should have finished in front of Michael Johns during his season.

And to be fair, you picked Michael's 'moment'. He had some performances which were not as stellar.

I liked Johns a lot. I disagree that he is better than Bowersox. Reserving judgement on others.

Just got around to watching this week's show.

I'm not a huge fan of AI or anything, but it really annoys the **** out of me how some contestants get treated with kid gloves because they are cute.

Case in point: Aaron. He's obviously a really good singer, but for this show, he just seems ok. I thought his song choice was terrible because he has neither the stage presence nor big enough voice (though he does have strong pipes) to tackle Aerosmith. His performance wasn't all that good, but somehow the judges thought he was great. In the meantime, Michael was really good (maybe not his absolute best, but still, he puts the other guys to shame) and he got some pretty bad reviews.

I can't understand how anyone could watch those two performances and think that Aaron's was better than Michael's. It's not possible.

To me, it's amazing watching Michael and Crystal. They make the other contestants look like children out there. Crystal, in particular, really understands what she is doing and just knows she's the best.

I'm also one of those people that Simon talks about who can't stand Siobahn's screaming. I think she has a pretty bad lower register, too.

I really like Andrew, but yeah, he has sucked. He needs to just get back to doing what he does best and stop trying to show diversity. I just saw a Youtube video of him doing a Michael Jackson medley which was sick.

this second show always sucks, the acts are lame as **** and the drama is so carried out and long winded. Please never have the two turds who performed tonight ever on again. Miley is atrocious.

R&B next week? I think most of the people left are very comfortable in this genre, loosely interpreted. Wonder what types of songs will be available. Hopefully some of them show more stage presence. Siobhan seems to be the only one comfortable moving around. Big Mike to a lesser degree.
