Don't see how siobhan doesn't make top 2. Lee was alright. He's one of the better ones in the competition but honestly he's pitchy half the time he sings but they seem to overlook this every time..minus his 1st performance. Also surprise Simon didn't nuthug Lee more like he usually does.

katie - nothing great. didnt have much feeling or range
tim - didnt like the calypso arrangement, seemed kind of flat
siobhan - thought it was okay, could have varied her voice some, thought it was pretty good though and shes cute. 2nd overall pick behind crystal obv
lee - pretty crap performance. sounded like some college kid doing a bad john mayer impersonation, and john mayer for the most part sucks
paige - decent job, sounded pretty good. dont buy her as a honkytonk woman
aaron - not bad pretty dece, not going deep
crystal - standard pretty great, def better than everyone else along with siobhan, she can do lots better

This is the weakest top 12 since maybe season 3. The only contestant who I personally enjoy listening to is Crystal. She's also the only one who I think is a good enough singer and interesting enough to have been a contender on previous seasons of the show. That being said, here's my objective prediction of how the show should unfold:

Although I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up being nothing like this.

If only the bottom 4 on my list could be replaced by the 4 who were eliminated last week, then this would actually be a decent top 12. Especially Alex Lambert who I thought was a potential top 5.

Wasn't really a fan of the Siobahn performance - it seemed to very Broadway to me, and about halfway through I figured out she was trying to be the female Adam Lambert. Definitely ended strong.

Tonight I came to the conclusion Andrew is this season's Chris Sligh. Great audition, strong Hollywood, and slowly fading out.

Liked Lee, Crystal, Didi and Katie. Tim Urban was trying to Mraz-ify that song, and failed horribly. Lacey has no vocal range, but she definitely can do a lot with the limited range. She's also very boring.

I wish Aaron Kelly would just go away, but he's definitely getting the 12-year old vote.

i saw a little bit on my local news after the show (was too lazy to change the channel) with three music biz guys. one was an editor for a magazine (forgot which one), and the other two held some other jobs within the business. anyways they did their own little review of tonight and they were all basically in agreement that lacey was prob gonna be the one going home. i think it's either going to be her or tim. but i think tim stays another week simply based on the demographic he appeals to. i don't think lacey has that same level of support. all that being said, i do think she gave a better performance than tim tho.

I thought this show was really good. Even the bad ones were just mediocre.

Siobhan stands well above the rest imo. Crystal was good. Michael is overrated, I really liked his "This is a man's world", but his last 2 songs have been overpraised by the judges. Didi was awesome tonight, her best performance by a mile. I like Lacey. Lee, Casey, and Andrew were meh. Katie, Tim, Aaron, Paige I could do without.

Big Mike- pretty good don't like song choice or arrangement tho 6.5/10
Didi- voice is weak at times but i was into it solid job 7/10
Casey- like the tone of his voice, seems like a cool dude 7.5/10
Lacey- she gets much better every week 7/10
Andrew- he murdered this song ugh plz stop 0/10
Katie- NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO 1/10

Tim- for the love of dog stop voting for this dude America 0/10
Siobhan- holy **** amazing best AI performance of all time wowwowowow 11/10

I'm glad to see everyone stepped up this week. This is the first time in a long time when there were 9-12 ppl that there wasn't a train wreck.

I think some ppl were very good, like siobhan, and didi, and a few others. Even Lee impressed me this week.


There were no awful performances, but I think a few ppl are in trouble.

Fwiw, I love lacey, but I think she goes home this week.

Tim is a ****ing tool. It's a travesty they even put him in the top 24 to begin with and that he survived this far let alone week 1. Who gives a **** how "good looking" you are when you have NO TALENT. It's ridiculous that ppl are voting for this guy especially when almost everyone is doing so based on look alone. And No H.omo but this guy looks like the most typical caucasian pretty boy ever. There's a million tim urbans in the world. Get this guy off the show now.

If they let me do the send home, I'd send Andrew based on tonights performance. Based on he might be able to do something different or better in the future, I'd be okay with Lacey or Urban going home. Of the three I kind of liked Urban best. Thought his play took guts and wasn't really that bad...of course, I admit I don't have very high standards for him. Lacey's song was okay, but it seems like when she sings her songs well, they all sound essentially the same...and have a kind of weird kind of hitching element to them. I'm over her. I'm over Andrew. I've been over Urban since day one, but he is cute and his performances are growing on me a little.

Not surprisingly, I liked Lee, Casey, Sox, and Siobahn...also Didi. I suspect I will continue to like these till the bitter end. I might consider another CD or two when this is over. Lee, Casey, and Sox are all in the running for my business.
