IMO the talent difference between Crystal and the rest of the field (with the possible exception of Siobhan) is larger than I've ever seen on the show. She can pretty much roll out of bed and give the performance she gave last week - she's not even trying particularly hard at this point and I expect that she's got a whole catalog of songs to choose from that she's performed a million times. I don't ever expect her to be anything but really good (she seems to have the gift of perfect pitch so will never ever sound bad) and occasionally over the top excellent. The only question is whether her hippie chick vibe turns off enough people for her to get Daughtry'd. I'm more excited to see her every week than for anyone since Kelly, and I really think finding people like her is what the show is all about.

I think the gap between the have's and have not's on this show is pretty consistent. in season 5, taylor chris and Katie were better than the rest for most of the season.

in season 6, it was Shrek

in season 7, David A was worlds better than almost everyone from week 1

in season 8, Adam just made everyone else look bad(even if you didn't like his style)

in season 9, siobhan, crystal, and mike have done that the last two weeks

pretty much the only thing she says now is "RAAARRRRGHHH CONNECT TO THE SONG!!!!!11!!"

F'ing kara is annoying as **** and Simon's right abt her taking everything so literal glad he called her out on that. But, umm how was this performance any worse than say Casey, Big Mike, or Lacey's? It was a solid performance. It WASN'T ****ING PITCHY Randy needs to stop saying that BS. He killed the beginning and was solid the rest of the way through. It was pretty clear that Big Mike and Casey were almost certainly gonna get favorable reviews as long as they did a mediocre job with the song, didi was good, and lacey was also just average. This was FAR from a "pitchy" or bad performance have to 100% agree with Ellen on this.

Kara taking every ****ing song so literally pisses me off so much. "umm katy that was ok but what have you exactly broken away from?!?" "umm dude that song is about war and children, why were you smiling?"
