He doesn't have *it* yet. Neither does anybody else this year though. I could change my mind tomorrow. The girls overall were much better last week and if one of them can pull of something special they can become a frontrunner. No frontrunner at the moment. Specifically I am talking about Didi, Siohban, Michelle or Crystal. One of them comes out and wows everybody we have a frontrunner.

michael lynche: very solid. perfect song choice.
the asian: too forgettable. even though he sang well.
casy james: i'd say his stock fell alot today. I assume david cook would have sung the **** out of this song. But casy just did a minimalist version. Still solid though, he knows what songs to pick.
alex lambert: copied garcia wtf? i'd say it was top 3 performance of the night maybe.
todrick: such an epic song, dont try to touch it. bad choice imo.
jermaine sellers: awful
garcia: funny how he sang so well, yet all 4 judges are like "you are a disappointment". I still am not as bullish on him as the rest of y'all are.
aaron kelly: bad song choice, not very good singer. good effort though.
tim urban: awful singer, other than that, it was great. i agree w/ simon. but notice how simon didnt say he was good, he just gave him credit for trying.
lee dewyze: knows what he is doing. good song choice, great soinding voice. many pitch problems though....

my point is this, Casey is good compared to Average Joe, but compared to the very best of AI, he's average. His voice is ok, but he doesn't have the chops to win it all.

I agree technically he is the best of the guys, but he is boring as hell too and he has mullet for Christs sakes.

None of the guys are interesting anymore. I had high hopes for Garcia but he is turning into another generic copy of the million other idol contestants over the years.

It's up to Bowersox, Didi, Lili Scott and (maybe) Lacey Brown to bring something even slightly original to this season.
