am late to the party but - agree that this season seems very weak. the guys especially.

i loved garcia in hollywood week after his straight up cover. very disappointed that he chose to sing fall out boy.

i'm surprised no one out there feels the same but I am utterly, totally obsessed with sioban magnus' performance of wicked game. i thought it was incredible and she is now my favorite contestant this season. i also thought it was the only legitimately stunning/memorable performance of week1.

katie stevens sounded good to me - i honestly don't understand all the hate for her.

lily scott is a cool chick. i like her, and i liked her performance. she won't go far but i have a feeling i'll enjoy her while she's around.

haley is way underrated imo. if she cleans it up a bit she can be quite good - she has a strong voice, and a lot of passion and talent. she's just really raw - personally i like that though. i am probably one of the less than 10 people who actually liked her performance of IWHYH. (though i do admit it sounded kinda bad when i watched it back - not sure why - first time around i liked it)

i liked didi when she did kara's song in hollywood week. her performance this week felt flat to me.

i knew crystal was good even though her horrible looking teeth were the most prominent thing i could remember about her. i find her kind of annoying but i have to admit she's talented.

paige is just...i didn't/don't care.
same thing with michelle.

ashley rodriguez was ****ing sexy. i'd like to sex her more than any other female contestant this season i think.


most of the guys were bad. what's weird is that the one i thought was the best..ugh. i HATED him in hollywood week, his singing, his personality, everything..but i actually thought Lee Dewyze gave the best performance of the guys. reminded me a lot of david cook. i have to give him credit because he got up there and i was just thinking about how much i hated him and his vocals but he changed my mind with his performance. might've just been a fluke though.

casey james is ok, he's pretty one dimensional though probably, he might go on to win a la kris allen because he's good looking and will get the southern/christian vote.

big mike or whatever is soo bad. i don't get how he's even in the top24. i legitimately feel that i can sing better than he can.

john park lol...i feel for the guy, and based on past clips i think he actually can sing, but his performance was the only one where i seriously had to fast-forward through after 10 seconds...it was just so. boring. i loved his intro video though and i agree with him that shania twain is insanely beautiful.

don't get why everyone thinks aaron kelly is good. he was ok i guess but idk i felt absolutely nothing during his performance and i can't even remember it or what he sang.

If I'm Garcia, I'm choosing fairly solid songs and performing well enough to move on. Save the big guns for later in the competition.

I thought that performace was actually really good. He seemed connected with the audience, had perfect pitch during the song (which NO ONE else did) switched up the song a bit and generally kicked the ass of all the other 23 contestants. Even if its only just as good this week he'll get through without question.

I think he was good, but not fantastic. But, if he waits until the top 12 to pull out 12-18 great performances, then maybe he's on to something. Because even he knows if he just doesn't forget the words or kill someone, his natural ability will put him in the top 12. I mean, he's already made the top 12, just don't fumble.


To some guy above us, I think the overall feeling here is Siobhan was the best covering both nights.

the song choice was bleh and she missed a lot of notes. she was only good in comparison with everyone else...certainly not the best though.

I think the mixing has been improved for the home audience as well. The band has more of a presence.
