just did my usual trick of watching the show in about 4 minutes flat and basically thought every performance sucked. i probably should have given the solos more of a chance but the snippets i saw were just both participants shouting at each other, haha.

I was making dinner and came into the living room and stood in front of the tv for the Crystal/Lee Duet. I almost fell over over because of the camera work.

I had to look away from the screen.

lol very true. It made me dizzy as well. Still, I thought it was a good performance.

Crystal performance of "I'm all right" was rather interesting, but I disagree with the judges that it was better than the original.

I don't know, it seems like every episode Ellen finds a way to point out she is gay. Funny the first few times, but it's kind of wearing on me - one of the things I like about her is she continually finds new ways to generate laughs each week, and doesn't resort to "pitchy" or "interpretation", or other catchphrases used by the other judges.

I think Crystal selecting a song from Caddyshack has to be one of the oddest choices in AI history.

yeah like i said i watched 5 seconds and they were facing each other in a cheesy manner and shouting. i guess i just can't dig crystal at all lately. i'll watch it in full later.

With that said, I also don't find it funny when someone makes gay jokes about themselves. Which is odd, because fat people making fun of themselves cracks me up.

But...by the reaction of the crowd and judges, they seem to think it is funny enough where she is probably not going to stop doing it.

480p and full screen it. The girls in the background crack me up as most look like they are at a boring talent show. One in the middle area must be his sister or something. She looks around the whole time and golf claps it at the end.

can't believe casey outlasted mike...i hate to agree with TheHip but it was indeed pretty obvious from the duet that Mike >>>> Casey

that said, Casey did give one of his better performances last night - he picked which is in my opinion of the greatest songs of the genre and managed to not screw it up.

anyway, none of this matters because I think by now two things are obvious

A) Crystal is clearly the best one this season
B) Lee is going to win

i think this season more than most it is pretty up in the air who's going home. I would only be mildly surprised if Crystal went home, and not surprised if any guy went home tonight.

I wouldn't even be surprised if it's an all guy finale.

I liked seeing the clips of the parades. My all time favorite Idol moment is when Eliot's mom is in the car in the parade and starts crying. Gets me every time.

Nah, I think he's a bigger favorite to stay. My Casey LL Lee bet is close to dead money. I'm guessing something like 15% chance I win it. Casey would have to crush it next week. I still feel good about Crystal vs the field. I don't think Lee is the favorite yet.
