Hip you seem like an intelligent guy, it just seems rather odd to pontificate in such a matter-of-fact tone about something none of really know ****ing **** about. The results of this contest are always so random and unpredictable, and most of the analysis of the singing so ambiguous, that no one can really be an expert in any sense. I mean, half the "constructive criticism" the contestants get is centered around rambling repetition of the word "pitchy", which thusfar is not understood by one person in this ****ing country

Yeah... Mike's save was an f'ing joke and this vote was even more of a jokes event. Katie is the only one on that stage (other than maybe Lee) who could actually be a legit recording artist/pop star. Oh well. The lulz that are American Idol.

The fact that Hicks was declared the winner in a final twosome of Hicks and Katherine McPhee is essentially the worst voting decision in the history of life with regards to anything. Dick Groat winning the 1960 NL MVP or the Korean guy in Seoul winning on points over Roy Jones Jr. were better selections

not at all man. you can see in my posts today i had her as a surprise winna

Ya, looking back on Season 7 is depressing, everyone in the top 8 was great. Brooke White and Michael Johns might have been the finale this season.

But really, Mike has been consistently solid with one off week, he deserves to be there.

When there were 6 on stage, Lee, crystal, siobhan, katie, mike, and tim, i realized that someone good was going home, since Tim wasn't leaving.

I'm just glad it's katie and not siobhan.

I guess with Simoan sucking the last three weeks the finale is going to be Crystal/Lee or Crystal/Casey

It's entirely possible that this is the case, I have no idea, I don't even remember the F4 that year, I was kind of more headed in the direction of it being patently absurd that the more marketable commodity was a 31 year old crooner with gray hair. Since no one anywhere can name one thing post-Idol that Hicks has done, seems pretty obvious that I'm on point here
