His performances are over the top and cruise ship/loungy and so are his actions. His vocals are good but nothing comparable to most good R&B/Soul artists. He comes off as really arrogant and a lot of viewers see that. His actions are just annoying. The judges save your ass and you pound your chest, make an X with your arms and throw up the 3's? You'd think he'd finally be humbled by what just happened. Butnaaaaaaahhh

And Kara is just pathetic at how she completely overrated this guys performances. Crying the first time, then her ridiculous assessment of Eleanor Rigby? I hope she feels like an idiot after seeing that American completely disagreed with her.

If it's like last year, Mike will be safe and Andrew/Aaron will be going home. Although I think it's also possible The Brady Bunch will be getting their lead singer back. But yeah, I agree there's no chance Crystal/Lee/Siobahn are going anywhere.

My concern with the save is that it should probably only be used if you are saving one of the top 3 performers. Right now, I think Crysal, Siohban, Casey and Lee are all ahead of Mike, and I don't see him surpassing them. Thus, I don't see the save warranted.

So, my concern is that if you save a non-contender, and then next week you could have a contender go home.

The judges seem to be approaching things from the "he is not the worst singer and thus should stay," as opposed to to approaching it from the perspective of saving a potential winner.

I like Mike, but he's not going to be the "Idol" so whether he goes now or 6th or 5th or 4th doesn't really matter.

Now if the judges wish they have the save for Lee or Siohban next week (Casey and Crystal should be fine) , then that would matter.
