Crystal is just like a more musically talented Mike. Same thing week in and week out, zero possibility of being a successful radio artist, not current any way you cut it. Whatever, at least Crystal is likeable.

I'd like to mention a few names:
* Tori Amos
* Jewel
* Ani DiFranco
* Alanis Morriset

I'm quite sure that Crystal would be more than happy to have the level of success these artists do, as would her label. I'd also wager that any one of them have (and will end up having) longer careers and more total sales than any of the past 8 seasons winners of AI.

Missed the performances this week, but saving Mike was a great call. He's at least as good as the best that are rest and one of the two worst should have gone home. Tim and Aaron are garbage.

Aaron is not that bad. He might make top 3 males if he performs well (casey and Lee obv)

Mike was a good save, since you have to use it b4 top 5. They would never use it on Tim or Aaron imo, who are likely to be 2 of the next 4 (andrew, mike) to be gone. So it was a good save.

I am happy that I called bottom 3. But I felt andrew was gonner.

it wasn't the vocals. it was the "boring factor". like mike's vocals last night were bad (imo), the whole thing was too aggressive, but i was more interested in mike than adrew/aaron.

I think on 2+2 aaron is very undervalued. but... he is not very strong vocally.

you guys think the producers figure out the EV of each contestant and then tell the judges who to save/pass on? If they felt a good contestant was in jeopardy of getting cut, they'd prolly keep the save till top 6 or w/e.

i'm surprised so many people are saying aaron isn't awful. I found him so boring/annoying this week. I even *gasp* thought Tim was better than him this week.

by the way, I was blown away by Casey James this week. partially because i would never have expected him to give that good of a performance, but mostly just because it was...an amazing performance.

I like crystal more and more each week - I think at this point she's someone i'd definitely pay money to see perform live. based on just the past couple weeks, she'd be who i want to win. taking in everything though, I've still got mad siobhan love.

I'm glad katie is finally getting recognition. she's always been good imo - re-listen to wild horses, feeling good, etc., the judges were just slow to take a liking to her a la Syesha Mercado.

Katie will make top 4 if Mike gets knocked out before her I think. Possibly top 3. I said this a few weeks ago. She has to keep doing well ldo but she's going to benefit from being the most "current" of them even though she's not great. If she starts suddenly doing very well and Simon calls her a dark horse or says he thinks she can win or w/e who knows... Jordin Sparks?

What's the theme next week? I know Adam Lambert is the mentor but didn't catch any theme if there is one. Oh and Adam being the mentor is pretty bizarre. I think he's the GOAT AI performer but it's a bit odd. He should be able to give some good tips. Maybe Adam and Siobhan will sing a duet.

Did anyone else think that it looked like Jason Derullo was almost having some kinda of panic attack or break down on stage? For someone with top radio hits and blah blah blah..he sounded like he had never performed in front of anyone!

Strong in what sense? I agree that he doesn't have a big voice, but otherwise he is pretty good vocally. I can see why people don't like him, but they let it cloud their judgment on 2+2 generally. His vocal this week was probably his weakest though, and it was still better than several others. The song was way too big for him, though.
