Who should still be in this competition? Who is good enough to conceivably finish reasonably high? Whose body of work is better? You can't seriously think Tim Urban is good enough to be one of the final 9 people standing

Comparing Tim to Mike is like comparing a punch in the face to a punch in the nuts. They both really suck.

Not only is this obviously impossible to state this as fact, it has very little to do with the results of this competition. Someone advancing because there's a feeling they are more "marketable" in the future? How do you feel about Taylor Hicks' marketabilty versus Kat McPhees'?

I understand part of the goal of this site is for people to push forth completely contrived forced contrarian POV's to increase traffic, but this is absurd, Tim is litterally horrendous and there's basically nothing rational anyone can say defending his performances. Garcia is god awful too. FWIW Siobhan or Aaron didn't do fantastically last night either.

Entirely fair, I'm sure plenty of people thought he was bad, I didn't say he's the best. He's allowed a bad one every now and then though, this is a long competition. There's no reasonable presentable thought process which should include Mike being 9th of 9 out of this group. Tim Urban in the opinion of most people who aren't pigtailed teenage girls would have a hard time finishing in the top 1,000,000 if you threw him into a contest with 1.1 million people off the street.

Tim sucks but at least he doesn't sing the exact same vomit inducing cheeseball love ballad every week. I would pick Tim over Mike any day. Easy choice.

Crystal is just like a more musically talented Mike. Same thing week in and week out, zero possibility of being a successful radio artist, not current any way you cut it. Whatever, at least Crystal is likeable.

This is a TV show, Mike is good TV. Obvious save situation. Andrew is most boring from TV perspective. I was hoping he would be gone.

When Mike was giving piece signs to the crowd like, "LOOK HOW GREAT I AM!!!!" instead of nodding to the judges, I wanted to punch him in the face. I really hope he goes home next week. He's a giant douche imo.

Was pretty obv they were going to save him and the love for Big Mike is still inexplicable to me. His sing for his life performance was even cheesier and schmaltzier than his normal crap. Get this roided up freak off my TV plz.

after watching the trash that AI9, I had forgotten how great DA is. I still don't like him, but that kid can sing.

**** you judges for not using the save. he's the 2nd best vocalist left in a singing competition. he had one bad week, and he wasn't even that bad.

if you don't save him, what are you waiting for? andrew in 8th, Katie in 7th, aaron in 6th? give me a break

Judges save ftw. seriously, big mike deserves top 4, and he will get there now

Soncy does not enjoy listening to Big Mike's songs...{drum roll}...America voted...and they agree with Soncy. Even so, judges save is valid. Mike going home now is way out of order. It's not like it really matters. The teenage girls will have the final say no matter what.

I love me some Bonnie Raitt. IMO there is a market out there for Sox. I'm not in the music business or anything, but I suspect that 'current' for pop singers is not the same thing as 'current' and 'relevant' for a rock/folksy type singer.
