Lee has the best vocals for any male (said in like week 2, when there were 4 guys singing that night that have better vocals than Lee...Alex, Aaron, Mike, and Casey)


I think Lee's getting better, but if he was on during a season that held Cook or Daughtry, he'd be going home 10th like Didi did this season. If there was no crystal or Katie, Didi would be 4th like Brooke White


all this doesn't matter, Lee's not winning. It's Crystal or Siobhan, or maaaaybe Big Mike or Casey.

Mike is just plain awful. Worse than Tim. I have never experienced a bigger disconnect watching this show between what I think of a contestant and what others seem to think.

Me neither. I just don't understand it at all. He just screams cruise ship singer to me and it blows my mind that anyone sees him as an actual recording artist when everything is so corny and overdone.

I agree you can like one person's tone more than the next. You can hate Dave Matthews but love Geddy Lee for the tone they create. However, from a singing ability standpoint, Lee wasn't good last night.

He's not awful, he's just not good. His voice is all over the place. I really believe that if David Cook was on Idol 9, Simon would not be all up on Lee's nuts. He would be saying, watch DC, that's how you do it.


Kind of like, if Crystal had been season 8, Lilly would be around still, and probably make the top 5, and everyone would be saying, omg, so original and awesome, but since Crystal is here, she looks 2nd rate and goes home 13th

I didn't watch it live, watched it twice this morning. The vocals are solid (nothing outstanding) and he gave a really good performance.

Mostly, I think people just hate when such a great song like Hey Jude gets "ruined" in a different style. I liked what he did with it, though.

no they werent...he overshot a lot of notes and was generally sharp the whole song. If he would have chilled out a little bit more on stage he probably wouldnt have missed them.

Does anyone actually believe Crystal or Mike are going to be able to sell out major concert venues as headlining artists and have top 40 hits on the radio in 2010-near future?

i actually liked what he did with it, he just didn't sing it great. Lee does what he has been doing. Sing a song average, and move on to the next round. He is just not capable of having a huge moment.


he can't sing as well as Bo, and he's not as creative as Blake. I think Blake and Lee have similar vocal ability, ie, not great, but Blake was so inventive that you wanted to watch him every week. Are people really tuning in to see what Lee does each week?

I think he "sounds" sharp, but most of it is his tone. A lot of guys sounds like that, Chris Daughtry always did. He does have a tendency to over-sing a little
