simon is such an asswipe if he really said the bagpipe player was corny. i thought he was cool as hell.

siobhan sang beautifully

katie gave her best performance that i have seen but mostly it is due to the song she chose. it's a beautiful song and she sings well on a technical level but i dont care for the sound of her voice. --but even still there are parts that make me cringe.

I've hated Casey up to now. This performance blew me away. I was very surprised by how strong Katie was too. Crystal might've been better, but it was really close. The top 4 were way better than the rest tonight.

tbh i think aaron's goin. he was really weak tonight. and tim's performance made aaron look boring as hell. going first is never a good spot to be unless you're one of the frontrunners.

Your list is okay except Aaron at 4? LOL. It's pretty much agreed upon by 99% of idol viewers tonight that Aaron easily had the worst performance of the night. That **** was absolutely horrendous. Even tim > aaron tonight imo.

Maybe. I don't really remember Aaron's performance except for thinking it was just the same type of thing he normally does. I don't recall anything particularly awful about it.

The bagpipe player was the most surreal, ******ed thing I've ever seen on Idol maybe. Like it was just so random, idk how anyone could think that was a good idea or that it worked at all. The didgeridoo player on the other hand was badass.

Crystal is #1 for me again. I liked Siobhan but it can't stand up to the Fiona Apple version of that song that girl singer homers like me will always compare it to. Katie sang really well also. I hate Casey but thought he did a good job, Andrew and Aaron were forgettable and bad.

I still think Mike sucks and he raped "Eleanor Rigby", one of the all time great Beatles songs, with his idiotic runs. FU.

Lee- thought he killed it, performance was a little weird with the brave heart guy, but lee is amazing
Casey- boring i left the room
Siobhan-sleepy, but still a fan
Crystal- i didn't think it was her best, but i still liked it.
Aaron- i dont understand all the hate it wasn't HORRIBLE, it was just a little boring though
Katie- very good performance
Big Mike- very boring imo not really a fan
Tim- first performance of his i actually enjoyed
Andrew- meh was ok, im still a fan

I'm holding steady on Sox, Casey, and Lee. The bagpipes were weird, but kind of helped to distract from what I felt were Lee's meh vocals on this one. Even so, these three have a shot at making CDs I would buy. The rest...not.

I sort of hope Siobhan or Mike wins the show so AI doesn't gay up the CDs that I might be interested in. Is it only first place that is bound by contract to AI?

lol, really. can they sing longer versions of these songs next year? get rid of a judge or something. not that i want to listen to more of most of them but hell it is a singing show.

i heard they might not even do the show next year. maybe people realize that no simon = no show. if that is so, they should just broadcast x-factor worldwide.

fwiw this is just word-of-mouth rumors i'm hearing. haven't even bothered to look around on the interwebz for anything about it.

Lee's performance reminded me of a concert where the band only sings about 3/4 of the song and sticks the microphone out towards the crowd for the good parts and people enjoy singing along when they are really just getting ripped off from hearing the best parts


Not saying he did that exactly, it just had that concert feel instead of the best sounding version he could put out. It will be interesting to hear the difference between the studio release and the live version.


I mean, it definitely had excitement and whatever, I just didn't think it sounded good. As opposed to Crystal who seemed like she had the same level of "into it" or "oomph" (really can't think of the right word) and gave off the same kind of vibe of being extra into the song, yet sounded fantastic.

I hope Crystal doesn't lose to some hack like Lee because she doesn't have bad weeks.

1. Casey: the best. Better than the Katy.
2. Katy: solid. She is putting a streak together.
3. Crystal: wish she pushed herself more. Like challenge herself.
4. Lynch: it sucked a little, but I kinda liked it. Cook massacred this song two years ago. Shame lynch couldn't.
5. Tim: yeah it was legit performance. Has no range and was boring though.
6. Siobhan: this was a bit too weird/creepy some how, idk.
7. Aaron: boring as ****. Had some off key parts as well.
8. Garcia: I didn't even know that he performed tonight, meaning it was even more boring than Aaron.

I do not understand how so many of you are ranking Lee high this week. Last week, he was awesome...this week, however, he was terrible. I don't think he sang one note in key...the beginning was so badly off, I actually thought he might pull a Brooke White, stop, and start over again.
