Will.I.Am can't sing but he knows how to make things work through his creativity in the studio.

Same goes for a bunch of other past singers with great vocals on Idol. You were once pro-Garcia and you also said he has promise so you must have seen something in him that would = to him potentially having a good recording career even without a great voice.

I got taken in by the hype, and I was wrong. After seeing him for 6 weeks, he's just not good enough. Even Blake Lewis puts Garcia to shame in terms of originality and personality, and he has had virtually 0 post Idol success. Even winners with better voices than Garcia haven't done much.

The point is, the fact Andrew is in the bottom 3 multiple times means no one gives a ____ about him, so the chances of a guy that isn't pretty, can't sing, and no one cares about having a post-Idol career isn't that good.

Are these released every week for every contestant? I would love to hear a few of Adam Lambert's from last season.

Just wanna say as a huge Mraz fan boy, this bugs me because it's true.

I think I am one of the few people on the planet that dislikes Bowersox. Is she the best musician in the competition? Yes in a landslide from everything I've seen. I just dislike her for some reason.

I chose to check this thread to find out who got booted and deleted the recorded show on my PVR instead. That's how bad AI9 is this season because it's not even worth the 2 minutes it takes to go through the show and you guys are more interesting to read than hearing Miley and Ryan.

I think it's classy of him. Why pretend to confer when america knows she's the worst AI contestant in the last 3 years

oh i didn't think it was rude or anything. paige prob knew herself. she's just outclassed on even a relatively weak ai finalist group. urban is arguably just as bad, but he's got that heartthrob thing goin for him i guess, so the little girlies love him. won't be long til they jump on casey's ship tho.

What week has Andrew been in the bottom 3?

Based on his performance? Every week. Based on results day? Not as many as he should have been.

every top 24 performance

out of 12, maybe he's not 10-12, but he's in the 7-9 group. and out of the 7-9 groups in past Idols, no one has done anything. And sure, Jennifer Hudson might be close to 7-9, but you put her in this season, she wins running away. So 7-9 in s2>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> 3-6 in s9

point is, he's not winning Idol, and after he's gone, you won't hear anything about him in the future.

I agree with you 100% (not that I dislike Bowersox, but the main point in this message). In music, you need more than a good voice to make it huge, you need a narrative, a compelling story. Or you need some sort of appeal to your audience, some people have "it". I'm not saying hugely talented people won't be able to get by or make a comfortable living with excellent voices, it's just that threshold of being a mega-star where you need something that just launches you higher. I don't know what it is, but I can see the case on a lot of AI contestants. E.g. Melinda Doolittle was an excellent singer, but she bugged the hell out of a lot of people. She has carved out her little niche doing records and performances, but she never became really famous.

I think Usher is the mentor, who pulled Bieber off YouTube and turned him into a money machine.

I think Bowersox seems guarded. Like someone whose had some tough experiences and therefore projects a tough or aloof image. She seems like someone who has built walls. I know next to nothing about her. Don't even pay close attention to the background info they give us on the show at times. It's just an impression I have based on how she behaves. Armchair psychologist.
