Did anyone else think it was lol when Casey told Ryan he needed to use the whole stage and move around a bit and then he just hid behind the mic and guitar and did his robot thing again?

That guy doesn't have an ounce of rock star in him.

Agreed, Ryan does a really nice job.

What show are you watching? He started his set next to the other guitar player and walked over to the mic before the lyrics started. It was all very dramatic. Rock on.

Rankings were hard this week as there was so much suck:

1. Crystal
2. Mike
3. Didi
4. Lee
5. Siobahn
6. Katie
7. Aaron
8. Casey
9. Andrew
10. Tim
11. Paige

Thoughts:

- Crystal is a pro, no doubt about it

- I think it was a smart choice for Tim. The guy has absolutely no chance of winning and he knows it. He picked a song that will get little girls swooning and voting for him enough to make the top 10 and the tour. It's all he can hope for at this point and I think he succeeded.

- If a song is 90% bad, 10% unbelievable note, does this make it a good performance? Siobahn needs to mix up her formula

- Paige would have scored a 0% on vocals for Rock Band

- Casey sang well, but Huey Lewis w/no arrangement changes?

- Lee, never do that again (even know it was a good vocal)

- Andrew's sink is shipping and he will never escape the Hollywood week comparison. It's too bad because even if he puts in a couple good performances, he's doomed.

If I were to predict the final outcome, I'd say something like the following:

Winner: Crystal
2nd: Lee (I can't help but think he's going far)
3rd: Siobahn
4th: Mike
5th: Aaron
6th: Didi
7th: Casey
8th: Katie
9th: Andrew
10th: Tim
11th: Paige

Siobhan needs to pull it back now. It's getting ridiculous even though I still love her.

Crystal sang her song great and everyone thought it was brilliant. No, it was just great. Nothing we didn't expect, though.

Crystal

Siobhan, Mike, Lee, Didi, Casey, Aaron, Katie

Tim, Andrew

Paige

I'm pretty sure he already works 22 hours a day. The guy is a mogul.

{grumble} %$%# Paige {grumble} &$%$*^ Tim {grumble} U^%$ Andrew

How bummed do A. Lambert and Epperly feel watching these mokes perform? Not that it matters what order people who can't win get kicked off...well, except to those of us who have to keep watching the performances.

Is this season really that weak? I just think the above are really terrible (though Paige shouldn't be). The rest are okay. I like Bowersox more than most prior contestants including many former winners and runners up. I look forward to Siobahn, Casey, and Lee. I typically enjoy Didi and Mike even though Mike does not sing the type of music I enjoy listening to and he acts like a big ham. I even find the kids (Katie and Aaron) to be tolerable and sometimes even enjoyable. Provided America doesn't really screw things up (no guarantees there), top five should be enjoyable.

Why do the judges hate Didi? That's twice now that it seems like they've been unfairly critical of her performance. {shrug}

Lol at Casey's brother. Love that guy. He looks like he might move around and jazz up the show. Needs to give Casey some tips.

Ryan Seacrest is the hardest working man in show business. When you look at how badly most TV hosts do the job - they're usually corny, insincere, etc. - you really can appreciate what a great job Seacrest does week in and week out. The only other person who comes close is Tom Bergeron.

I think overall the talent is deeper, but there are two issues:

1. A few of the more talented contestants were voted off early.

2. The top-level talent isn't on the same level as many other seasons.

Can this guy even put in a couple of good performances? Dude has made Tim Urban look decent by comparison the last two weeks. The cadence of his last two performances have been weird and choppy. Like...well, like people who can't sing a lick. Too bad is apt.

Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Chris Daughtry. Am I forgetting anyone?

You've named the three that have had successful post-AI careers. Off the top of my head, I would argue that Fantasia, Adam Lambert & possibly Clay Aiken were more talented than anyone from this season.

Crystal
Siobhan
Mike
Casey
Lee
Katie
Aaron
Didi
ALEX
LILLY
KATELYN

I disagree. He was like Casey. He looked the part but didn't have that great of a voice.

It's no surprise why AI is getting weaker talent wise over the years. Every year 24 of the top unsigned talent can't come back. So that means we don't have the top 24 this year, we have numbers 170-194.

I know that ppl are turning 16 every day, and some ppl like David Cook could have tried out sooner than season 7, but the principle is the same. Take talent out of the pool you have less talent left in the pool.

I thought last season was one of the strongest ever, so I don't really think that's the issue. I just think there's a lot of randomness and variation from season to season. People are reading too much into this imo.

Just got to watching this... extremely AWFUL show. Everyone with no exception was bad, Crystal sucked the least, but she wasn't very impressive either.

Siobhan didn't really have control of the song, plus the music around her was too high, she sounded better in that 10 second clip with Miley.

I hate Mike a lot, he's so corny and self absorbed..

Terrible terrible week
