Clark basically implied that Darden was the real killer. Makes a lot of sense when you think about it.

I think she almost implied he was working for the defense. This seemed purely to be her defending how awful she's coming across in American Crime Story. She had tunnel vision to the max, and being so tone deaf on how damaging Mark Fuhrman was is easily her biggest mistake in the trial. Lange also appeared to have massive sour grapes, even though both he and Vannatter's kid glove treatment of OJ was pathetic in the "interrogation".

I was watching it as I was falling asleep, so I didn't catch everything, but I am pretty sure that she said something about Darden killing Nicole and Ron bacause he was mad about Rodney King. Anyway, he apparently was a black guy.

Any pictures out there with Allen wearing Bruno Magli shoes?

Doubt it, but he was a USC #32, and there were rumors Nicole dated him.

I think Marcus Allen having sex with Nicole is confirmed. I can't remember if OJ and her were married at the time.

The only interesting new piece of information was the witness who said he saw OJ emptying a duffle bag into a trash can at LAX the night of the murders.
Wish I had read this before wasting my time time watching . The only new thing I learned is that Marcia Clark is in denial of the aging process , she looks grotesque with all her touch ups and Carl Douglas who I barely recall from the trial is a weird annoying sounding dude.

she's a woman in her 60's with money who lives in the burbs of LA. Isn't that par for the course?

Carl Douglas has a shrine to Johnny Cochran and he takes a little too much pleasure gloating about the trial. :P

tho his oj impression is great

This show is so damn good. I can't decide which line was better, "Who turned her into Rick James?" or "Guess the defense is in for one hell of a week".

seems like Darden is coming off pretty well on this thing ... so far

so what was the defense's plan there with the housekeeper?

she was supposed to kill the prosecutions timeline (she claimed to have seen the Bronco still parked at Rockingham during the time the murders were being committed at Bundy)

Excellent episode, but it felt the most fudged to me. I remember Vannatter getting skewered very similarly to the Lange exchange in the show on chain of custody. So, if that is a different similar incident, it would be incredible if both detectives had massive chain of custody issues (if I remember correctly, Vannatter's issue was with a vial of blood). I've already read that this episode is being sympathetic to Clark, but if it is it's the very subtle way Married...with Children used to skewer Al Bundy's sexism in the early seasons. Sterling Brown is giving one of the best performances in the show, and I have a feeling he's barely getting warmed up. Really looking forward to the next one.

Im too young to remember the actual trial but I cant believe they cut away from an NBA finals game for the car chase lol and pizza places running out of cheese? any truth to that?

Yes (they didn't cut away, they just put the game in a small box in the corner) and yes, it's been said the OJ case was the first "real" reality show. According to something else I read, the trial was also credited as the death of the soap opera. I remember watching the chase, but can't remember what I was watching, or why I was watching it. It's such a different world today, I didn't have internet then, and I'm guessing I probably watched the news.

yeah, but she didn't come anywhere close to doing that

was the plan for her to commit perjury and then flee the country?

that's how it seemed, and then she got cold feet

Think of it this way:

If Michael Jordan was a suspect in a brutal double-murder and a fugitive from justice, and the cops were chasing him down an L.A. freeway, and a TV network could cut away from the World Series to show that chase - live - do you think they would?

That's what it was like.

Jordan's time was during the OJ trial time. Maybe he doesn't know who Michael Jordan is.

OJ was nowhere near the level of MJ, so that's kind of a bad example.

Eh?

Oj was well known beyond sports though. In the US back then easily on the level of Michael Jordan.

No way, not even close. OJ was a popular guy, everyone in the U.S. who followed football knew him, but MJ is a worldwide force (OJ had no shoes and didn't own a pro sports franchise). Carmelo Anthony is too low in comparison to OJ. Put it more on like a Kevin Durant level (Hall of Fame player, but not on the level of MJ), I think that works better.
