Colin and Christie legends, I'm super happy with the result.

Thought the final challenge with Christie settling Colin down and re-focusing him on the details as White Stripes was playing in the background was a really good scene too.

I really grew to love the Afghanimals this season. Havent seen any of their seasons before. Great guys. Tough ending

^this. Great result and they fully deserved the win. I've been wanting to see them back and to see them get the win couldn't have been better.

Colin and Christie are my all time favorite team. What a cool season to watch and see them win it with such a differnce in how their two games were played

Just got caught up on this a month late. The first leg on the last episode left a real bad taste in my mouth. It was like watching a 4 handed poker game where the 3 regs are all openly colluding with one another to take the tourist's money and the dealers and floor won't say a damn thing about it (hell, they set up the game to encourage collusion).

The 3 amazing race teams had been colluding together for at least a couple episodes but in that leg it seemed to be taken to another level with Tyler/Korey telling Christie how to solve a word puzzle and then telling Collin & Christie exactly where to find the items they had to collect before elimination.

From a strategic point of view it made absolutely no sense why Tyler/Korey would help their biggest competition in the race, Collin & Christie. Although, as I type this I wonder if the teams had agreed to chop the winnings (provided they knocked out Nicole & Victor). It makes a whole lot of sense. Really, I don't know why they wouldn't do a chop. It's $1 million for first and like $25k for second. Seems like a pretty standard chop spot. It would also explain why Tyler & Korey were so happy when they crossed the finish line in 2nd place.

Tyler's net worth is something like $8 million so he probably wasn't super fussed about the money.

$8 million shouldn't be that much that you wouldn't be concerned about winning a million dollars in the final leg of a race.

Sure, because collusion is completely acceptable in this game. In most 4 person games when 3 people actively collude against the 4th, that person is virtually drawing dead. There is no fairness in competition when allowing this sort of collusion.

It is 1 million percent acceptable

Filming complete on season 32 and started filming/racing on Season 33. After 3 episodes, they have suspended the race until Corona Virus threat is over.

anyone watching this season? i haven't watched AR in probably 5 years, but with no Survivor I'm thinking about getting back into it. any good?

If you liked it before you'll enjoy it now, IMO. One caveat is if you're someone who wants to see teams you love to hate or high drama, those look to be lacking this season, at least thus far. What does seem to be promising is although only a few episodes have aired I don't see any single team that looks like a huge favorite - that is, I could picture at least 4-6 of the teams winning it all.

My suggestion? Watch last year if you can. It's an all star season and the cast is really good.

I've always watched the show with my sons, who are now in their mid teens; and both said this season is a great watch because of COVID, as they can sort of see the world even though we're quarantined, and the lack of drama or "bad guy" teams helps the escapism even more. Those of you who stopped watching might want to give this one a shot, IMO.

DeAngelo Williams has already guaranteed a return on a future all-stars season. The guy has so much personality and is a blast to watch race


rizzee, I completely agree with your sons' take. There's a lot of fun teams and I've been watching past seasons for the escapism.

I did find it hilarious that the dating superfans never bothered to learn how to drive stick. I mean, seriously? If I knew I was cast on this, learning stick would be the first thing I'd do before going to the starting point

As I recall, the one person did say that they'd driven stick before and had even practiced it before the race. They just didn't practice it well enough. And well, I guess I can somewhat understand it with them leaving it in third gear how that might not have come up in their refresher before the race.

fair. And I can imagine it being extremely stressful in the moment if you aren't used to it. Still, that is something that I'd want on lock down before racing since it dooms teams too often and is preventable unlike a shitty cab driver

Only last leg remaining, so good time to start watching. But this season was imo ruined by the alliances, Amazing Race already never has enough hard tasks and now all those had teams helping each other and ruining the task. And some teams just constantly talking about alliance. I hope they'd ban helping other teams after this season, it has never added much (positive) to the show in my mind.
