Wasn't even aware that this was coming on so I was very surprised when I checked my DVR and there it was. Cool, I thought. I really enjoyed last season after almost giving up on this show. Having said that, I'm not at all confident that this season will be as good as the last.

For the love of God, can we please never have to see Rupert (and his wife) on another show. So many crappy teams this season. Whoever was in charge of casting should be banished to Exile Island. Maybe once they get down to 5 or so teams it will get interesting but for right now it looks like we'll have to endure some horrible game play.

Rupert and Laura took two hours to cross the street? What in the actual ****? Yet they still didn't get eliminated.

Afghanimals or Colin and Christy should win this season like 90 per cent of the time.

I gave up on this show about 3 years ago. Any reason to come back?

This one is all previous contestants of Amazing Race, Big Brother and Survivor.

The Survivor people had a dismal first week showing. Being good at sitting around waiting all day strategizing may not translate good into Amazing Race.

Who is in from survivor besides sh*tty Rupert

Survivor teams are the Bonehams, Bret Labelle/Chris Hammonds from Millennials vs. Gen X, and Eliza Orlins/Corinne Kaplin

This is the one show that is always better with new people. Survivor is almost a completely different game with returners but the race is not. It's more tuned-in racers, for the most part, and we already kind of know their stories and dynamics so it doesn't make for very interesting TV. Having a team like Corinne/Eliza is fine. They're interesting on TV and have never raced. But having a returning team like Afghanimals, another go with Rachel, or even Colin/Christie is not doing anything for me.

The race was heavily nerfed after S5 and it hasn't been a dynamo show since then. For what it's become this is fine. I'll watch it because it's an easy watch with my wife. But it's not particularly interesting anymore and the only way to really combat that is to eschew stunt casting and do a whole season of newbies/randos.

Also, it's logistically impossible and expensive, but they should bring back Fast Forwards in every ep. That was an essential piece of strategy that made the show more interesting.

This one snuck up on me, as I think the original premiere date was supposed to be after Memorial Day, which I never understood given the Survivor crossover. I guess they realized that too and moved it up to air after Survivor. I'm not sure how many more seasons this show can be sustained, but count me among viewers as long as it airs.

I'm already bored with the cast. The only two teams that I care about at all are the couple with the girl who seems overly happy about her life and Corinne and Eliza because they seem like they're taking things very seriously.

Victor, nope.

no wonder Corinne and eliza stayed single, they both seem dreadful, particularly Eliza.

Colin + Christie still top-tier. Victor and Nicole are doing surprisingly well, but I'm just waiting for a difficult task that Nicole has to complete by herself; then I think they could get into trouble

Meanwhile, Rupert is happily married

Can you imagine being married to either one of them? I’m sure once they get in a relationship it doesn’t last long.

Colin+Christy get U-turned and still kill the leg. It's fun seeing them back and it's really good to see them still doing well and being a strong team.

I've been really impressed by Tyler&Korey. They were whatever in their first season, but they've run a great race so far and have been surprisingly strong.

Terrible move to not put a strong team into the double U-Turn gauntlet with C&C

Rooting for Team Fun and Tyler and Korey primarily, but would be fine with Colin and Christy taking it home. Their namaste schtick is a little tiring, but it seems genuine so I'll give them credit for that.

Of the teams that are left, my preference:

1. Team Fun
2. C&C
3. Tyler & Korey
4. Afghanimals
5. Nicole & Victor

Honestly, though, my viewing experience was made when the sisters finally bit the dust.

Colin, Christie, Tyler, and Korey are so boring. Probably the best racers but i dont care for them

They lost on the same leg, and once again on a challenge involving bicycles. I figured they were goners when they hearkened back to that at the beginning of the episode.

Great finish, pretty much exactly what I was hoping for.
